Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the ultrasound-assisted extraction conditions of Ginkgo biloba leaves polysaccharide (GBLP). The optimum for GBLP were obtained as liquid material ratio 30 mL/g, ultrasonic power 340 W, and time 50 min. Under these conditions, yield 5.37 %. Two chemically modified polysaccharides, CM-GBLP Ac-GBLP, by carboxymethylation acetylation GBLP. physicochemical properties three polysaccharides comparatively studied their in vitro antioxidant activities evaluated comprehensively. results showed that solubility significantly enhanced activity somewhat improved. This suggests are effective methods enhance properties, but exhibited some uncontrollability. At same time, has also shown high potential research application.

Radix astragali polysaccharide (RAP) is a water-soluble heteropolysaccharide. The extraction, separation, purification, structure, activity modification of RAP were summarized. With the increasing sophistication of polysaccharide extraction methods, enzymatic method is no longer limited to a single enzyme extract polysaccharides, more often used in combination with ultrasound or microwave, different enzymes.
