This article explores the changes in transport and mobility patterns that were triggered by Covid-19 pandemic, as well citizens' potential new expectations arising from this situation regarding public policy urban planning. We conducted an extensive survey 20 cities across 11 European countries during second quarter of 2021, with a total 10000 respondents. The information we collected covered change frequency technology-based alternatives to travel -such teleworking online shopping-compared pre-pandemic period. It also included trip frequency, purpose, mode destination. Using dataset input, applied classification model explains choice based on respondent characteristics preferences. Our findings suggest induced pandemic are result combination degree restrictions imposed each city, adoption lifestyle work patterns, individual choices depend personal risk aversion. identify three main challenges for policy: increasing use car can reinforce long-term dependency, avoidance may lead financial operational instability, uncertainty regards future innovation transport, especially emerging technologies business models.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, scholars mobilized their efforts to address its far-reaching societal problems. With mobility restrictions being front and center a new cohort transportation science was developed within short period time. Here, we examine more than 400 studies related published across journals during 2020 2021. The aim is (i) scope this newly segment research, (ii) outline diversity pandemic-related issues various divisions field (iii) provide roadmap for future line research. Common themes are identified existing congruence discrepancies findings discussed. Results show that although conventional methods research were adopted in virtually all studies, no pre-pandemic study particularly instrumental development literature. appears have own independent knowledge foundation, that, it does not systemically frequently look back at any particular reference. The COVID-19 pandemic had an unprecedented impact on transit usage, primarily owing to the fear of infection. Social distancing measures, moreover, could alter habitual travel behavior, for example, using commuting. This study explored relationships among fear, adoption protective changes in and anticipated usage post-COVID era, through lens protection motivation theory. Data containing multidimensional attitudinal responses about at several stages were utilized investigation. They collected a web-based survey Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Two structural equation models estimated examine factors influencing postpandemic behavior. results revealed that people taking relatively higher measures comfortable cautious approach such as complying with safety policies (TSP) getting vaccinated make trips. However, intention use vaccine availability was found be lower than case TSP implementation. Conversely, those who uncomfortable caution inclined avoid rely e-shopping most unlikely return future. A similar finding observed females, vehicle access, middle-income individuals. frequent users during pre-COVID period more likely continue after pandemic. study's findings also indicated some travelers might avoiding specifically because pandemic, implying they are
