Alcohols
are
the
most
commercially
abundant,
synthetically
versatile
and
operationally
convenient
functional
groups
in
organic
chemistry.
Therefore,
a
strategy
that
utilizes
hydroxy-containing
compounds
to
develop
novel
bond
disconnection
formation
process
would
achieve
molecular
diversity.
Herein,
deconstructive
for
generation
of
quinoxalin-2(1H)-one
derivatives
has
been
developed
from
alcohol
precursors
via
oxy-radical-induced
β-fragmentation.
Additionally,
1,5-HAT
deoxygenation
by
P(III)
along
with
oxy-radical
were
demonstrated
as
alternative
pathways
this
transformation.
Furthermore,
deep-seated
reorganization
few
terpenes
carbon
framework,
unique
activity
inhibition
against
growth
pathogenic
fungi
was
observed.

We
report

metal-

photocatalyst-free
C3
α-aminomethylation
of
quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones
with
N-alkyl-N-methylanilines.
The
reaction
proceeds
through
the
formation
photoactivated
electron
donor–acceptor
complex
between
present
method
provides
mild
environmentally
friendly
protocol
that
exhibits
good
atom
economy
excellent
functional
group
tolerance
to
obtain
library
biologically
significant
α-aminomethylated
in
yields.

radical,
which
acts
single-electron
reductant
while
engaging
in
hydrogen
atom
regenerate
parent
borylthiophenol.
The
synthetic
relevance
this
mode
action
is
demonstrated

catalysis

three
different
yet
tunable
functions

cycle,

allowing
borylthiophenols
solely
promote
assembly

Abstract
Heterocyclics
are
the
crucial
scaffolds
present
in
pharmaceuticals,
natural
products,
biologically
active
compounds
and
agrochemicals.
Consequently,
development
of
simple
practical
methods
for
constructing
heterocyclics
has
always
been
a
fascinating
field
organic
synthesis.
Recently,
2‐acylbenzoic
acids,
highly
reactive
versatile
synthons,
have
broadly
applied
construction
heterocycles
due
to
their
multiple
reaction
sites.
In
this
review,
we
summarized
recent
progress
application
acids
synthesis
including
phthalides,
isochromanones,
isoindolines,
phthalazinones,
quinolones.
The
substrate
scopes,
proposed
mechanisms,
product
different
types
reactions
discussed.
