Zero-dimensional (0D) organic indium halides have been emerged as promising broadband light emitters with wide application prospects, but most of the present suffer from low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), and a high-power excitation source is needed to obtain desirable performance. In this work, we elaborately select appropriate cations crystal structural engineering obtained series highly efficient 0D bromides. Under UV excitation, these display yellow emissions (550-600 nm) near-unity PLQYs, which represents one highest values in all previously reported halides. Benefiting successful nanoscale engineering, luminescent inks based on are facilely prepared by dispersing nanocrystals into various solvents. The ink can be utilized print anticounterfeiting patterns, displays photoreversible switching visible/invisible transformation under alternating irradiation visible light. Furthermore, white emitting diodes fabricated high color rendering index above 90 using down-conversion phosphors. This work not only promotes development also significantly broadens solid-state illumination anticounterfeiting, etc.

While anticounterfeiting systems based on long persistent luminescence (LPL) materials demonstrate a mature trend, the integration of tunable luminescent lifetimes and emission colors in LPL-based remains challenge. Herein, we propose temporal spatial strategy utilizing novel zero dimensional (0D) metal halides, specifically (PBA)3BiCl6:xSb3+ (PBA = 4-Phenylbenzylamine, x 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15), which exhibit characteristics. A controllable color transition can be observed from green to white orange by varying excitation wavelength, accompanied different afterglow durations LPL emission. Additionally, various are at delay times. Furthermore, controlled duration is achieved through Sb3+ doping (PBA)3BiCl6, attributed triplet energy transfer (TET) process. noticeable when using mobile phone's flashlight as source, enhancing portability light source. The multifaceted tuning modulation establish foundation for multicolor time-resolved anticounterfeiting, significantly elevating security level advanced portable systems.

Organic-inorganic hybrid manganese halides (OIMnHs) have attracted significant attention in the field of optoelectronics due to their outstanding optical properties and low toxicity. However, development crystalline compounds with scintillating high light yield remains a challenge. In this study, simple solution method was employed successfully synthesize new zero-dimensional (0-D) scintillation crystal, (C13H25N)2[MnBr4] (C13H25N = trimethyladamantan-1-aminium). The introduction bulky rigid organic cations not only spatially isolates [MnBr4]2- tetrahedrons but also effectively expands Mn···Mn distance, thereby suppressing concentration quenching self-absorption effects. This structural design achieves photoluminescence quantum about 63.8% at room temperature remarkable 44,300 photons MeV-1. After multiple irradiation cycles, material retains its stable radiative characteristics. work highlights key role cation engineering improving luminescence efficiency performance provides ideas for designing efficient nontoxic OIMnH-based scintillators.

Abstract Recently, dual emission phenomena based on excitation‐dependent are increasingly observed in 0D antimony‐based metal halides. However, the origins of these two emissions remain debated. Herein, high pressure is employed to investigate structural‐optical relationship typical halides (TTA) 2 SbCl 5 (TTA = tetraethylammonium) and uncover mechanisms behind its emission. As increases, under 303 nm excitation, characterized by energy low peaks, transitions a single peak at ≈5.7 GPa. Organic-inorganic metal halide (OIMH) luminescent materials have attracted much attention due to their chemical diversity. Presented here is a crystalline hybrid indium-based chloride with relatively rare trigonal bipyramidal [InCl5]2- emission center. Through single Sb3+ doping, the compound achieves an orange broadband at 656 nm photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of up 65.61% optimal doping concentration, originating from radiative recombination self-trapped excitons, and effect on luminescence mechanism was investigated through DFT calculations. Interestingly, by codoping Mn2+, as-synthesized compounds exhibit yellow (551 nm) (627 emissions 270 445 excitation wavelengths, respectively. The introduction Mn2+ endows stable scintillator properties. In addition, In-based OIMH material exhibits excellent processing properties good smear/scratch recovery ability.
