Purpose
The
purpose
of
this
study
is
to
explore
the
empirical
literature
on
resilience
firefighters
related
potentially
traumatic
events
(PTE).
This
paper
identifies
how
defined

particular
research
field,
reveals
trends
applied
methods
and
examines
main
topics
addressed
previous
research.
Design/methodology/approach

Scholar
databases
were
searched,
as

manual

reference

Findings

revealed
that

area.

strategies,

Maladaptive
schemas
have
been
linked
with
increased
posttraumatic
stress
disorder
(PTSD)
symptoms.
Posttraumatic

self-appraisals

traumatic
