Abstract SARS-CoV-2 is the cause of COVID-19. It infects multiple organs including respiratory tract and gut. Dynamic changes regional microbiomes in infected adults are largely unknown. Here, we performed longitudinal analyses throat anal swabs from 35 COVID-19 19 healthy adult controls, as well 10 non-COVID-19 patients with other diseases, by 16 S rRNA gene sequencing. The results showed a partitioning into 3-4 categories based on microbial community types (I-IV) both sites. bacterial diversity was lower than controls decreased gradually type I to III/IV. Although dynamic change microbiome complex during COVID-19, synchronous restoration upper gut early dysbiosis towards late more diverse status observed 6/8 mild patients. These findings reveal previously unknown interactions between

Aspergillus fumigatus is a saprotrophic fungus; its primary habitat the soil. In ecological niche, fungus has learned how to adapt and proliferate in hostile environments. This capacity helped resist survive against human host defenses and, further, be responsible for one of most devastating lung infections terms morbidity mortality.

The pulmonary microbial community, described only a few years ago, forms discreet part of the human host microbiota. airway microbiota has been found to be substantially altered in context numerous respiratory disorders; nonetheless, its role health and disease is as yet poorly understood. Another important parameter consider gut-lung axis, where distal (gut) immune modulation during mediated by gut use specific strains, termed "probiotics," with beneficial effects on immunity and/or against pathogens, proven successful treatment intestinal disorders also showing promise diseases. In this review, we highlight body's commensal bacteria infectious diseases, including recent evidence highlighting their local (lung) or contribution process.

Rapid and early diagnosis of respiratory viruses is key to preventing infections from spreading guiding treatments. Here, we developed a sensitive quantitative surface-enhanced Raman scattering-based lateral flow immunoassay (SERS-based LFIA) strip for simultaneous detection influenza A H1N1 virus human adenovirus (HAdV) by using Fe3O4@Ag nanoparticles as magnetic SERS nanotags. The new type tags, which were conjugated with dual-layer dye molecules target virus-capture antibodies, performs the following functions: specific recognition enrichment in solution on strip. Based this strategy, can directly be used real biological samples without any sample pretreatment steps. limits HAdV 50 10 pfu/mL, respectively, 2000 times more than those standard colloidal gold method. Moreover, proposed easy operate, rapid, stable, achieve high throughput thus potential tool infection.

The emerging concept of microbiota contributing to local mucosal homeostasis has fueled investigation into its specific role in immunology. Gut is mostly responsible for maintaining the balance between host defense and immune tolerance. Dysbiosis gut been shown be related various alterations system. This review focuses on reciprocal relationship innate immunity compartment, with emphasis gut-associated lymphoid tissue, cells, phagocytes. From a clinical perspective, gives possible explanation how "gut microbiota-innate immunity" axis might contribute pathogenesis autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus.
