Abstract
The
combination
of
meglumine
antimoniate
and
allopurinol
is
considered
one
the
most
effective
treatments
for
canine
leishmaniosis
caused
by
Leishmania
infantum
.
This
study
investigated
effects
this
treatment
on
gut
microbiome
10
dogs
from
Spain,
Portugal,
Italy
via
fecal
shotgun
metagenomic
sequencing
over
six
months.

Background:
The
human
oral
microbiome
is
a
critical
reservoir
for
antibiotic
resistance;
however,
subgingival
peri-implant
biofilms
remain
underexplored
in
this
context.

aimed
to
explore
the
prevalence
and
distribution
of
resistance
genes
(ARGs)
metagenomes
derived
from
saliva
biofilms.
Methods:

100
metagenome
datasets

individuals
