Abstract
Long-lived
species
Homo
sapiens

telomerase
and
maintaining
short
telomeres,
thereby
delaying
the
onset
of
majority
types
until
post-reproductive
age.
Indeed,
is

in
most
differentiated

transcriptional

transcriptase
(TERT)
gene.

telomerase/TERT
expression

telomere
