Abstract Recovery and reusability of catalysts is an important aspect in modern catalysis research especially organic synthesis. Compared to the conventional separation, magnetic separation has emerged as a robust, highly efficient, easy rapid technique for products catalysts. Abstract Superparamagnetic CuFeO 2 nanoparticles were prepared and characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, FRIR spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry techniques. The catalytic activity of was investigated in the one‐pot, three‐component reaction 2‐aminopyridines, aldehydes, alkynes using citric acid–dimethylurea melt as a green solvent. An array imidazo[1,2‐ ]pyridines obtained good to excellent yields. system can be successfully reused six times with keeping its performance.
