Wound healing is usually accompanied by bacterial infection. The excessive use of synthetic antibiotics leads to drug resistance, posing a significant threat human health. Hydrogel-based wound dressings aimed at mitigating infections have emerged as an effective treatment. review presented herein particularly focuses on the hydrogels originating from natural polymers. Although photothermal therapy (PTT) with the assistance of nanotechnology has been considered as an indispensable strategy in biomedical field, it still encounters some severe problems that need to be solved. Bacteria-infected wounds are attracting increasing attention, as antibiotic misuse and multidrug-resistant bacteria complicate their treatment. Herein, we reported a photothermal activity-based drug consisting of β-cyclodextrin (βCD)-functionalized graphene oxide (GO) near-infrared light-responsive nanovehicles combined with the nitric donor BNN6, in methacrylate-modified gelatin (GelMA)/hyaluronic acid graft dopamine (HA-DA) hydrogel. The synergistic effects gas therapies expected to improve antibacterial efficiency reduce resistance. results revealed that GelMA/HA-DA/GO-βCD-BNN6 was an ideal material improved collagen deposition angiogenesis promoted wound healing mouse model full-thickness skin repair, compared commercially available Aquacel Ag dressing.
