Abstract Pests are one of the most concerning biotic problems in agriculture and food. Humans constantly search new strategies to control them. Traditional like integrated pest management used insufficient, applying chemical pesticides has adverse effects on animals human beings addition declining soil fertility, resistance, elimination natural enemies, environmental pollution, loss biodiversity, health hazards. Using nanotechnology as an alternative strategy can be promising ways overcome using conventional pesticides. Thermocatalysis of CO2 into high valuable products is an efficient and green method for mitigating global warming other environmental problems, which Noble-metal-free metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are one the most promising heterogeneous catalysts thermocatalysis, many excellent researches have been published. The appeal of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in wastewater treatment is tempered by their polycrystalline, powdery state, and challenges associated with deployment. In the case UiO-66, one most stable widely-used MOFs, a low tendency for removing some organic contaminants has been observed on top mentioned issues. To address these challenges, herein, we take two complementary steps, i.e., hybridization UiO-66 nanodiamond (ND) followed integration hybrid nanoparticles electrospun polymeric nanofibers based chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). We present electrospinning polymer/MOFs as promising technique to fabricate highly efficient adsorbents water remediation. use chitosan/PVA (ECPN) versatile host MOF that remove cationic methylene blue anionic Congo red dyes. Four nanofiber composites containing thermally oxidized (TOND), ND, [email protected] are utilized unravel effect type loading dye adsorption capacity. It shown incorporation small ECPN significantly enhaces maximum More importantly, rationally engineered exhibit best performance adsorption; instance, an 80 % increase capacity, from 769 1429 mg/g, recorded loaded compared unfilled ECPN. On that, designed adsorbent showed appreciable regeneration ability after 6 adsorption–desorption cycles. All all, this study offers new generation advanced materials emerging streams.

Abstract The deployment of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in a plethora analytical and bioanalytical applications is growing research area. Their unique properties such as high but tunable porosity, well-defined channels or pores, ease post-synthetic modification to incorporate additional functional units make them ideal candidates for sensing applications. This possible because the interaction analytes with MOF often results change its structure, eventually leading intrinsic physicochemical which then transduced into measurable signal. porosity allows adsorption very efficiently, while pore sizes/nature and/or installation specific recognition groups allow modulating affinity towards different classes compounds, turn lead good sensor sensitivity selectivity, respectively. Abstract Metal–organic framework (MOF) materials are gaining significant interest in biomedical research, owing to their high porosity, crystallinity, and structural compositional diversity. Their versatile hybrid organic/inorganic chemistry endows MOFs with the capacity retain organic (drug) molecules, metals, gases, effectively channel electrons photons, survive harsh physiological conditions such as low pH, even protect sensitive biomolecules. Extensive preclinical research has been carried out treat several pathologies and, recently, integration other stents implants demonstrated promising performance regenerative medicine. However, there remains a gap between MOF translation into clinically societally relevant medicinal products. Here, intrinsic features of outlined suitability specific applications detoxification, drug gas delivery, or (combination) therapy platforms is discussed. Furthermore, examples how have engineered evaluated different medical indications, including cancer, microbial, inflammatory diseases described. Finally, challenges facing clinic critically examined, goal establishing directions more realistic approaches that can bridge translational MOF‐containing (nano)materials.
