Biobased
plastics
provide

sustainable
alternative

present
study
investigated
effectiveness
of
chitosan
with
varying
levels
Moringa
oleifera
seed
powder
(MOSP)
and
tannic
acid
(TA).

The
main
aim
of
this
review
is
to
assess
the
potential
use
natural
cross-linking
agents,
such
as
genipin,
citric
acid,
tannic
epigallocatechin
gallate,
and
vanillin
in
preparing
chemically
cross-linked
hydrogels
for
biomedical,
pharmaceutical,
cosmetic
industries.

Abstract
Hydrogel
adhesives
exhibit
great
potential
in
various
biomedical
fields
such
as
tissue
sealing
and
soft
robotics.
However,
the
high‐water
content
defective
network
structures
of
these
hydrogel
result
low
intrinsic
mechanical
strength,
severely
impeding
their
application.
In
this
study,
it
is
reported
that
strong
adhesive
strength
can
be
achieved
when
a
balance
established
between
forces
cohesive
forces.
Based
on
principle,
new
double
(DN)
design
created
to
combine
an
polyvinyl
alcohol
(PVA)
first
with
flexible
sodium
alginate
(SA)
second
network.

Abstract
Access
to
efficient
enzymatic
channeling
is
desired
for
improving
all
manner
of
designer
biocatalysis.
We
demonstrate
that
enzymes
constituting
a
multistep
cascade
can
self-assemble
with
nanoparticle
scaffolds
into
nanoclusters
access
substrate
and
improve
catalytic
flux
by
orders
magnitude.
Utilizing
saccharification
glycolytic
quantum
dots
(QDs)
as
model
system,
nanoclustered-cascades
incorporating
from
4
10
steps
are
prototyped.
Along
confirming
using
classical
experiments,
its
efficiency
enhanced
several
fold
more
optimizing
stoichiometry
numerical
simulations,
switching
spherical
QDs
2-D
planar
nanoplatelets,
ordering
the
enzyme
assembly.
Detailed
analyses
characterize
assembly
formation
clarify
structure-function
properties.
For
extended
cascades
unfavorable
kinetics,
channeled
activity
maintained
splitting
at
critical
step,
purifying
end-product
upstream
sub-cascade,
feeding
it
concentrated
downstream
sub-cascade.
Generalized
applicability
verified
extending
assemblies
other
hard
soft
nanoparticles.
Such
self-assembled
biocatalytic
offer
many
benefits
towards
enabling
minimalist
cell-free
synthetic
biology.
