Ulcerative colitis (UC) has experienced a steady increase in global incidence and prevalence recently. Current research into UC pathogenesis focuses on the complex interplay of genetic environmental factors with immune system gut microbiome, leading to disruption intestinal barrier. Normally, epithelium, interact maintain homeostasis. However, when this equilibrium is disturbed, harmful cycle dysbiosis, dysregulation, inflammation emerges, resulting barrier dysfunction progression. Among various risk factors, diet significantly influences epithelial integrity architectural stability through both direct indirect mechanisms, shaping entire continuum from pre-clinical prevention active phase treatment remission maintenance. This review provides insights impact dietary content eating behaviors UC, focusing specific food, food groups, nutrients, intermittent fasting, while providing detailed explanation why microbiota may mediate sustained effects across all stages UC. The incidence of ulcerative colitis (UC) is increasing annually. There are few treatments for UC patients, and some drugs have serious side effects. Sea cucumber peptide (SCP) has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant other biological activities, various sea species in pharmaceutical development. However, relevant studies on the effects SCP progression still lacking. In this study, a mouse model acute was induced by 3% dextran sulfate (DSS), effect 500 mg/kg investigated. results showed that can alleviate DSS-induced colon damage intestinal barrier damage. significantly inhibited expression inflammatory factors oxidative stress mice. reversed microbiota dysregulation DSS, growth Sutterella, Prevotella_9 Escherichia-Shigella harmful bacteria, increased abundance Lachnospiraceae_NK4A136_group. At same time, treatment LPS-induced polarization M1 macrophages, which may be mediated two monopeptides, IPGAPGVP TGPIGPPGSP, via FPR2. conclusion, protect against modulating composition inhibiting macrophages.

Background/Objectives: Lactobacillus strains are widely used as probiotics in the functional food industry and show potential for treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, strain specificity limited stress resistance of restricts its therapeutic effectiveness. The aim this study was to investigate effects dietary supplementation with microencapsulated plantarum 17-1 on intestinal immune responses, gut microbiota composition, metabolic characteristics colitis mice. Methods: Mice were pre-fed a diet containing 3 weeks then treated 2.5% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) drinking water 8 days induce colitis. Results: results showed that effectively alleviated clinical symptoms histopathological features mice suppressed up-regulation pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 IL-17 colon Additionally, significantly increased relative abundance several beneficial bacterial taxa, including Ruminococcaceae_UCG_014, Bacteroides, Prevotellaceae_UCG_001, Lactococcus, Weissella, Pediococcus, so on. Moreover, it regulated levels multiple inflammation-related metabolites involved linolenic acid metabolism, arachidonic primary bile biosynthesis, tyrosine metabolism. Conclusions: These suggest reduced inflammation by modulating composition characteristics, which may serve strategy IBD.

Abstract A comparative analysis of mass–volume characteristics structural and morphological components hen eggs before incubation on the fifth (HH25–HH27) 10th (HH36) days was carried out. Soybean-derived phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is a valuable phospholipid component yet its high-purity form costly and molecular structure poorly understood. The present study combined solvent extraction cryopurification to purify PE. optimal conditions were as follows: material-liquid ratio 1:15 (g/mL), ethanol base concentration 100:4 (Vanhydrous /V25% ammonia), temperature 40 °C, time 60 min, twice. were: 1:60, 100:6 ethanol/V25% freezing − 20 h. UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS analysis revealed composition of raw material, crude product, purified product. results showed that the purity PE in products was 76.74%, yield 72.43% under conditions. 181 molecules quantified. successfully explored preparation method It provides basis for subsequent exploration biofunction potential applications.
