Abstract Globally there is already a lot of pressure on water resources because climate change, economic development, as well an increasing global populace. Many rivers originate in the mountains, where snowfall fluctuations and climate’s inherent unpredictability affect hydrological processes. Climate change sensitivity has been recognized recent years would hydropower, such humidity, cloudiness, precipitation, that are considered; warming emerges one most important contributors to change. The Yangtze River supports rich biodiversity provides ecosystem services for human survival development. In addition, changes, particularly short-term long-term precipitation temperature fluctuations, influence snow regime development river flow response at basin sub-basin scales. More precise this review focused understand hydropower potential, freshwater fisheries, dynamics snow-dominated basins.

This study attempts to characterize and interpret the groundwater quality (GWQ) using a GIS environment multivariate statistical approach (MSA) for Jakham River Basin (JRB) in Southern Rajasthan. In this paper, analysis of various indicators such as Water Quality Index (WQI) methods, i.e., principal component correspondence (PCA CA), were implemented on pre post-monsoon water datasets. All these methods help identify most critical factor controlling GWQ potable water. pre-monsoon (PRM) (POM) seasons, computed value WQI has ranged between 28.28 116.74 from 29.49 111.98, respectively. As per GIS-based findings, 63.42 percent samples during PRM season 42.02 POM classed ‘good’ could be consumed drinking. We analyze vertical total electron content (vTEC) variations from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) at different latitudes in continents of world during geomagnetic storms June 2015, August 2018, and November 2021. The resulting ionospheric perturbations low mid-latitudes are investigated terms prompt penetration electric field (PPEF), equatorial electrojet (EEJ), magnetic H component INTERMAGNET stations near equator. East Southeast Asia, Russia, Oceania exhibited positive vTEC disturbances, while South American showed negative disturbances all storms. also analyzed Swarm satellites found similar results to retrieved data 2015 2018 Moreover, we observed that plasma tended increase rapidly local afternoon main phase has opposite behavior nighttime. ionization anomaly (EIA) crest expansion higher is driven by PPEF daytime recovery phases exhibits longitudinal along with EEJ enhancement

In this study, hydrological modeling at the watershed level is used to assess impacts of climate and land use changes on catchment area Khanpur Dam, which an important water source for Rawalpindi Islamabad. The impact past anticipated precipitation in Dam was forecast by using a HEC-HMS model. After calibration, framework employed analyze effects cover regime. model information from three climatic gauge stations (Murree, Islamabad Zero Point, Dam) split into five sub-basins that encompass entire region, each with distinctive characteristics. evaluated checked 2016–2018 2019–2020, it produced excellent match actual flows. statistical downscaling CMhyd model, most effective performing GCM (MPI-ESM1-2-HR) among four GCMs chosen projections temperature within two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP2 SSP5). predictions were incorporated calibrated evaluate potential change Dam. starting point era (1990–2015) projected period (2016–2100), encompassed basis present century, analyzed annually. results indicated spike SSPs, predicted boost inflows all year. Until end twenty-first SSP2 21 percent rise area, while SSP5 28% precipitation. Increased flows found be future. It could also effectively upcoming studies basin.
