Under the absorptive capacity perspective, current study developed a research model investigating links between quality of external relationships, development, and green innovation practices among hotels in Southeast Asia. We argue that strength relationships with stakeholders is critical foundation for development that, turn, enhances hotels. Survey data were collected from 431 three-star above independent Vietnam to test using structural equation modeling technique. Purpose We investigate how green transformational leadership (GTL) influences innovative service behavior (GISB), particularly in the hospitality sector, which faces significant environmental challenges. Drawing from social identity theory (SIT), we introduce organizational (GOI) as a mediating mechanism through GTL fosters GISB. Furthermore, propose moderated mediation model whereby knowledge-sharing climate (GKSC) serves first-stage moderator to further understand and when GISB GOI. Design/methodology/approach employed multi-study design (i.e. two independent studies across China) test hypothesized relationships.
