Humanitarian emergencies pose a significant global health challenge for children and young people's mental psychological health. This systematic review investigates the effectiveness of psychosocial support (MHPSS) programmes delivered to people affected by humanitarian in low- middle-income countries (LMICs). Twelve electronic databases, key websites citation checking were undertaken. Forty-three randomised controlled trials (RCTs) published English between January 1980 May 2023 included review. Overall, findings suggest that cognitive behavioural therapy may improve depression symptoms emergencies. Narrative exposure reduce feelings guilt. However, impact other MHPSS modalities across outcomes is inconsistent. In some contexts, providing involving creative activities increase people. These emphasise need development can safely effectively address diverse needs living adversarial environments.

Background Implementation of interventions to treat child and adolescent mental health problems in schools could help fill the care gap low- middle-income countries (LMICs). Most evidence available come from systematic reviews on prevention promotion, there is less treatment strategies that can be effectively delivered schools. The aim this review was identify what school-based have been tested children adolescents LMICs, how effective they are. Methods We conducted a including seven electronic databases. search carried out October 2022. included randomised or non-randomised studies evaluated for aged 6–18 years living LMICs who had, were at risk developing, one more problems. Results found 39 with 43 different pairwise comparisons, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Conduct (CD). Pooled SMD statistically significant showed that, overall, superior comparators PTSD (SMD = 0.61; 95% CI 0.37–0.86), not anxiety 0.11; −0.13 0.36), ADHD 0.36; −0.15 0.87), depression 0.80; −0.47 2.07). For CD sample size very small, so results are imprecise. Conclusion A effect if we add up all compared control, suggesting school environment reducing among adolescents. Background The incidence of depression, anxiety, and post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among children adolescents residing in low‐ middle‐income countries (LMICs) poses a significant public health concern. Methods We conducted searches on PubMed, Embase.com , EBSCO/APA PsycInfo databases up June 23, 2022, identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating effectiveness interventions LMICs that targeted with elevated symptoms above cut‐off score for PTSD, comparing or psychosocial intervention other control conditions. random effects meta‐analyses PTSD symptoms. Sensitivity analysis outliers high‐risk studies, analyses publication bias were carried out. Subgroup investigated how type, format, facilitator, study design, age group participant predicted effect sizes. Objective In sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), multiple factors contribute to the considerable burden of mental health disorders among adolescents, highlighting need for interventions that address underlying risks at levels.
