Background Developing self-directed learning in undergraduate nursing students affects not only their and lives, but also future professional development the quality of practice clinical nursing. Hence, it is paramount to prioritize cultivate capabilities among students, as this enhances academic pursuits equips them with essential lifelong skills crucial for dynamic healthcare landscape. Objective To delve into intricate relationship between metacognitive abilities practices while concurrently examining mediating roles psychological capital interpersonal communication interconnected framework. This exploration aims provide insights how these factors interplay influence students. Methods A total 662 from one university China were selected participants survey, utilizing stratified random sampling September 2023 December 2023. Of these, an impressive 639 (96.52%) provided valid responses. The Metacognitive Assessment Inventory, Adolescent Sense Psychological Capital Scale, Supportive Communication Self-Directed Learning Ability Scale employed comprehensively assess abilities, capital, skills, capacities Pearson correlation analysis was subsequently utilized related relationships variables. test effects, Bootstrap method, specifically Model 6 SPSS-Process package devised by Hayes, applied. Abstract Research has supported a link between insecure attachment and disordered eating in adolescents; however, how this influence is exerted remains unclear. This study explored whether depressive symptoms constitute pathway through which to parents predicts subsequent development of the transition from childhood adolescence. A community-based sample Spanish youth ( n = 904; 49.4% girls) was followed biennially age 10 16 years.
