It is generally recognized in research that participation lacking social work and essential to improve. I denne artikkelen er søkelyset rettet mot hvordan foreldres foreldreskap transformeres når de ikke lenger har daglig omsorg for barnet.1 Hvilket foreldrene blir tilbudt, avhenger av hvilke forventninger barnevernets ansatte til samværsforeldre. Social workers’ educational level and attitudes toward child participation in cases regarding children’s contact with birth parents – the case of Norway DOI Creative Commons

Previous international research indicates that social workers may lack the competence to comfortably involve children in child protection processes. Implementation of stricter requirements for welfare staff has been discussed address shortcomings practice. In Norway, this implementation is scheduled 2031, and subject ongoing discussion. Through multivariate robust linear regression analysis data collected five Norwegian urban settlements (n = 135), study explored association between educational level attitudes toward participation cases concerning contact out-of-home care their birth parents. The results indicate a significant difference children's involvement with parents when comparing master's degrees those bachelor's degrees, whereas exhibit more positive attitudes.
