There exists a bidirectional relationship between oral health and general well-being, with an imbalance in symbiotic flora posing threat to overall human health. Disruptions the commensal can lead diseases, while systemic illnesses also impact cavity, resulting development of diseases disorders. Porphyromonas gingivalis Fusobacterium nucleatum , known as pathogenic bacteria associated periodontitis, play crucial role linking periodontitis accompanying diseases. In periodontal tissues, these bacteria, along their virulence factors, excessively activate host immune system through local diffusion, lymphatic circulation, blood transmission. This response disruption contributes osteoimmune mechanisms, alveolar bone resorption, potential inflammation. To restore homeostasis, deeper understanding microbiota–host interactions network phenotype tissues is imperative. Osteoporosis (OP) is a common systemic skeletal disorder characterized by an imbalance in bone homeostasis, involving increased osteoclastic formation and decreased osteoblastic resorption. Quercetin plant polyphenol that has been found to exhibit various biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial effects. Previous studies have demonstrated its potential improve postmenopausal OP, although the exact mechanism remains unclear. This study aims investigate anti-osteoporotic of quercetin based on "intestinal flora − short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) inflammatory" signaling axis. In this study, we established ovariectomized (OVX)-induced rat model, intervention evaluated effects rats following antibiotic (ABX) treatment fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). After 6 weeks intervention, were euthanized, samples from their femur, tibia, lumbar spine, serum, colon feces collected, strength, intestinal structure, SCFAs levels cytokine assessed. modulates increasing potentially probiotic bacteria (i.e., Lactobacillales, Prevotellaceae, Blautia) decreasing pathogenic (Desulfobacterota, Erysipelotrichales, Romboutsia, Butyricoccaceae). It also increases content reduces colonic permeability enhancing tight junction proteins (ZO-1, Occludin). Furthermore, lowers proinflammatory (LPS, IL-1β, TNF-α), which enhances strength prevents OVX-induced loss. may effectively reduce loss OVX via pathway.

Abstract Melatonin ( N ‐acetyl‐5‐methoxytryptamine) is reported to improve mood disorders in perimenopausal women and gut microbiome composition altered during menopausal period. The possible role of the treatment effect melatonin on depression remains unknown. Here, it shown that reverses microbiota dysbiosis depressive‐like behaviors ovariectomy (OVX) operated mice. This prevented by antibiotic cocktails (ABX) treatment. Transferring harvested from adolescent female mice OVX‐operated sufficient ameliorate behaviors. Conversely, transplantation or melatonin‐treated naïve recipient exhibits similar phenotypes donors. colonization Alistipes Inops , which abundant mice, confers with Further investigation indicates expansion induced OVX leads degradation intestinal tryptophan, destroys systemic tryptophan availability. supplementation restores metabolic suppressing growth ameliorates These results highlight previously unrecognized modulation OVX‐induced behavioral suggest application inhibit may serve as a potential strategy for preventing depressive symptoms.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent clinical condition affecting the entire joint, characterized by its multifactorial etiology and complex pathophysiology. The onset of OA linked to inflammatory mediators produced synovium, cartilage, subchondral bone, all which are closely tied cartilage degradation. Consequently, may also be viewed as systemic disorder. Emerging studies have underscored significance T cells in development OA. Notably, imbalances Th1/Th2 Th17/Treg immune play crucial role pathogenesis This review aims compile recent advancements understanding their Th/Treg subsets OA, examines alterations contributions progression, proposes novel directions for future research, including potential therapeutic strategies

Previous studies have proposed a possible gut–skin axis, and linked gut microbiota to psoriasis risks. However, there is heterogeneity in existing evidence. Observational research prone bias, it hard determine causality. Therefore, this study aims evaluate causal associations between (GM) psoriasis. With published large-scale GWAS (genome-wide association study) summary datasets, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) was performed sort out roles of GM arthropathic (PsA). The inverse variance weighted (IVW) method taken as the primary evaluation association. As complements IVW method, we also applied MR-Egger, median. Sensitivity analyses were conducted using Cochrane's Q test, MR-Egger intercept MR-PRESSO (Mendelian Randomization Pleiotropy RESidual Sum Outlier) global leave-one-out analysis. By analysis, identified nominal protective Bacteroidetes (odds ratio, OR 0.81, P = 0.033) Prevotella9 (OR 0.87, 0.045) Bacteroidia 0.65, 0.03), Bacteroidales Ruminococcaceae UCG002 0.038) are nominally associated with lower risks for PsA. On other hand, Pasteurellales 1.22, 0.033), Pasteurellaceae Blautia 1.46, 0.014), Methanobrevibacter 1.27, 0.026), Eubacterium fissicatena group 1.21, 0.028) risk factors Additionally, E. factor 0.00018). After false discovery rate (FDR) correction, remains (PFDR 0.03798). We comprehensively evaluated psoriasis, several associations. after FDR correction. Our results offer promising therapeutic targets clinical management.

Introduction The intricate interplay between gut microbiota and hyperuricemia remains a subject of growing interest. However, existing studies only provided snapshots the microbiome at single time points, temporal dynamics alterations during progression barrier remain underexplored. Our investigation revealed compelling insights into dynamic changes in both intestinal function throughout course hyperuricemia. Methods mice (HY) were given intragastric administration adenine potassium oxalate. Gut was analyzed by 16S rRNA sequencing 3, 7, 14, 21 days after start modeling process. Intestinal permeability as well LPS, TNF-α, IL-1β levels measured days. Results We discovered that shifts microbial community composition occur prior to onset hyperuricemia, key bacterial Bacteroidaceae , Bacteroides Blautia exhibited reduced levels, potentially fueling dysbiosis disease progresses. During fluctuations uric acid accompanied with depletion beneficial bacteria, including Prevotellaceae Muribaculum Parabacteroides Akkermansia coincided an increase pathogenic bacteria such Oscillibacter Ruminiclostridium .
