Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) has led to an unprecedented setback for global economy and health. Vaccination is one of the most effective interventions substantially reduce death due SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. programmes are being rolled out globally, but these vaccines have been approved without extensive studies on their side‐effects efficacy. Recently, new‐onset autoimmune phenomena after COVID‐19 vaccination reported increasingly (e.g. immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia, liver diseases, Guillain–Barré syndrome, IgA nephropathy, rheumatoid arthritis systemic lupus erythematosus). Molecular mimicry, production particular autoantibodies role certain vaccine adjuvants seem be substantial contributors phenomena. However, whether association between manifestations coincidental or causal remains elucidated. Here, we summarize emerging evidence about occurring in response vaccines. Although information pertaining risk as a consequence controversial, merely propose our current understanding associated with vaccine. In fact, do not aim disavow overwhelming benefits mass preventing morbidity mortality. These reports could help guide clinical assessment management vaccination.

Abstract With the constantly mutating of SARS-CoV-2 and emergence Variants Concern (VOC), implementation vaccination is critically important. Existing vaccines mainly include inactivated, live attenuated, viral vector, protein subunit, RNA, DNA, virus-like particle (VLP) vaccines. Viral vector vaccines, subunit mRNA may induce additional cellular or humoral immune regulations, including Th cell responses germinal center responses, form relevant memory cells, greatly improving their efficiency. However, some be associated with complications like thrombocytopenia myocarditis, raising concerns about safety these COVID-19 Here, we systemically assess efficacy possible different effects on pregnant women, elderly, people diseases acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), transplant recipients, cancer patients. Based current analysis, governments agencies are recommended to continue advance vaccine immunization process. Simultaneously, special attention should paid health status timely treatment complications, development, ensuring lives In addition, available measures such as mix-and-match vaccination, developing new nanoparticle optimizing adjuvant improve could considered.

There is growing evidence that not only the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) but also COVID-19 vaccines can cause a variety of skin reactions. In this review article, we provide brief overview on cutaneous findings have been observed since emerging mass vaccination campaigns all over world. Unspecific injection-site reactions very early occurring after are most frequent. Type I hypersensitivity (e.g. urticaria, angio-oedema and anaphylaxis) likely due to allergy ingredients may rarely occur be severe. IV observed, including delayed large local lesions ("COVID arm"), inflammatory in dermal filler or previous radiation sites even old BCG scars, more commonly morbilliform erythema multiforme-like rashes. Autoimmune-mediated include leucocytoclastic vasculitis, lupus erythematosus immune thrombocytopenia. Functional angiopathies (chilblain-like lesions, erythromelalgia) observed. Pityriasis rosea-like rashes reactivation herpes zoster reported vaccination. conclusion, there numerous reaction patterns following vaccination, whereby many these immunological/autoimmunological nature. Importantly, molecular mimicry exists between SARS-CoV-2 spike-protein sequences used design vaccines) human components thus explain some pathologies as well adverse vaccinations.

Autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA syndrome) can be seen as a postvaccination phenomenon that occurs after exposure to in vaccines increase the immune responses. There are very limited data regarding ASIA following severe acute respiratory coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccines. This work aims report cases of subacute thyroiditis related SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. We describe clinical, laboratory, and imaging features 3 inactivated vaccine (CoronaVac®). Three female healthcare workers have applied our clinic with anterior neck pain fatigue 4 7 days vaccination. Two them were breastfeeding period. They negative for thyroid antibodies, there was no previous history disease, upper tract infection, or COVID-19. Laboratory test results findings consistent thyroiditis.SARS-CoV-2 vaccination lead syndrome. Graves' orbitopathy (GO) is an orbital autoimmune disorder and the main extrathyroidal manifestation of disease, most common cause hyperthyroidism. GO affects about 30% patients, although fewer than 10% have severe forms requiring immunosuppressive treatments. Management requires a multidisciplinary approach. Medical therapies for active moderate-to-severe (traditionally, high-dose glucocorticoids) often provide unsatisfactory results, subsequently surgeries are needed to cure residual manifestations. The aim this review updated overview current concepts regarding epidemiology, pathogenesis, assessment, treatment GO, present emerging targeted therapeutic perspectives. Original articles, clinical trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses from 1980 2021 were searched using following terms: orbitopathy, thyroid eye glucocorticoids, radiotherapy, rituximab, cyclosporine, azathioprine, teprotumumab, TSH-receptor antibody, smoking, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroidectomy, radioactive iodine, antithyroid drugs. Recent studies suggest secular trend toward milder phenotype GO. Standardized assessment at clinic allows better general management plan. Treatment still relies in cases on systemic-mainly intravenous-glucocorticoids as monotherapy or combination with other therapies-such mycophenolate, radiotherapy-but novel biological agents-including tocilizumab-have achieved encouraging results.

In 2011, a syndrome entitled ASIA (Autoimmune/inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants; Shoenfeld's syndrome) was first described. aimed to organize under single umbrella, the existing evidence regarding certain environmental factors which possess immune stimulatory properties, in order shed light on common pathway of autoimmune pathogenesis. Such stimulators, or adjuvants, include among others: aluminum salts as vaccines, various medical implants, well infectious agents. Since the emergence of coronavirus disease pandemic, several effective vaccines have been introduced. These work through different immunogenic pathways to produce immunity. There a number reports patients developing subacute thyroiditis and thyroid dysfunction after receiving (COVID-19) vaccine. This paper presents case female patient who developed soon adenovirus-vectored COVID-19 The presented with severe neck pain her blood results demonstrated an initial thyrotoxic phase followed by hypothyroid phase. She had no past history or dysfunction. Subacute occurring vaccination is rare but also probably underreported. We hope that this report not only contributes literature raises awareness

Recently, two cases of Graves' disease after SARS-Cov2 RNA vaccination with tozinameran have been reported [1].Here, we report further cases: a late recurrence 17 years and an initial manifestation.A 71-year-old lady had subtotal resection the left lobe.Soon thereafter, occurred, treated by thyreostatic drugs until 2004.She has in care our Thyroid Center since 2008.She was euthyroid normal TSH-receptor-antibody (TRAB) levels at yearly checkups.Sonography also did not show any dynamics: enlarged 20 ml right lobe small 4 partial resection. The parenchyma slightly hypoechogenic. She vaccinated on 21.March 11.April.From Mid-May on, she noticed palpitations sweating. On 26th May, seen free T4 3.56 ng/dl (normal 0.70-1.70),a T3 11.10 pg/ 2.15-4.12),and TRAB level 4.2 IU/l < 1.5).A marked change sonography multiple confluent anechogenic areas increased vascularization observed.Scintigraphy revealed (partly resected) patchy inhomogenous tracer distribution.Uptake only mildly increased.Thyreostatic treatment led to rapid normalization thyroid function.
