Abstract
Introduction
The
purpose

Abstract
In
this
article,
we
develop
a
model
for
child
participation
in
welfare
services
(CPC).
Child
has
gained
increasing
attention
research,
policy
and
practice

last
couple
of
decades.
Two
perspectives
have
concurrently
moved
agenda
forward—childhood
sociology

rights—leading
to
an

understanding

Childhood
sexual
violence
is
a
global
problem
that
has
far-reaching
impacts
on
children,
families
and
communities.
Whilst
there
been
significant
commitment
action
to
tackle
this
issue,
research
with
young
people
consistently
draws
attention
gaps
limitations.
Emerging
research,
practice-based
evidence,
tells
us
survivors
of
childhood
hold
essential
knowledge
expertise
about
the
of,
solutions
for
addressing,

violence.
Yet,
despite
widespread
recognition
children
have
right

heard',
in
practice
are
limited
examples
where

collectively

Abstract
Children
have
the
right
to
be
heard
in
child
protection
proceedings.
However,
social
work,
young
people
receiving
protective
services
are
often
perceived
as
vulnerable
and
need

protection,
