Abstract This chapter offers an overview of developments in policy, practice and research since the advent what was described as Victoria’s “new era” therapeutic residential care a decade ago. Young people transitioning from out-of-home care (OOHC), often called leavers, are known to experience mental health challenges. This article presents a scoping review of research studies completed on the needs and outcomes leavers in Australia 2015 2021. Incorporating 17 consisting six peer-reviewed papers 11 grey literature reports, identified several common concerns pertaining high levels poor psychosocial complexity. These were attributed number factors including placement instability, inadequate access specialist support services, limited workforce skills training. Some sub-groups such as young parents, those leaving residential care, Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander an older cohort who had institutional OOHC earlier decades, noted be at particular risk. Nevertheless, some strategies for improving policy practice highlighted more concrete transition planning that established links with services prior extension till least 21 years age, provision further supports trauma-informed approaches targeted towards specific this vulnerable population culturally responsive programs Indigenous youth. The Healthy Eating, Active Living Matters (HEALing Matters) program is being scaled up across residential out-of-home care (OOHC) in Victoria, Australia and providing young people with the knowledge, skills resources to promote better health through healthy eating activity. HEALing was piloted as HEAL program, a dual-intervention that aimed provide living education opportunities improve their physical activity habits, while simultaneously building capacity of carers promote, encourage role model lifestyle behaviours. Environmental health promotion interventions may reduce endocrine disruptor (ED) exposure. The PREVED (PREgnancy, preVention, Endocrine Disruptors) project was developed to improve knowledge, enhance risk perception, and change exposure behavior. Our objective present the phases of using RE-AIM method. intervention consisted three workshops during pregnancy. Reach, adoption, implementation were assessed with qualitative studies. Efficacy study a three-arm randomized controlled trial (RCT) on 268 pregnant women: (i) control group (leaflet), (ii) in neutral location, (iii) contextualized location. main outcome percentage evolution participants who reported consuming canned food. Introduction Western Australia has one of the highest rates Aboriginal children entering out-of-home care in Australia. Care-experienced young people demonstrate significantly poor physical, social and mental health outcomes during beyond their time in care, yet they have rarely been consulted or included research examining needs to date. This qualitative paper explores care-experienced people's perceptions of including accessing healthcare interacting with professionals. The methodology was informed by a co-design approach through consultation people.
