Abstract Ca 2+ , a ubiquitous but nuanced modulator of cellular physiology, is meticulously controlled intracellularly. However, intracellular regulation, such as mitochondrial buffering capacity, can be disrupted by 1 O 2 . Thus, the overload, which recognized one important cell pro‐death factors, logically achieved synergism with exogenous delivery. Reported herein nanoscale covalent organic framework (NCOF)‐based nanoagent, namely CaCO 3 @COF‐BODIPY‐2I@GAG ( 4 ), embedded nanoparticle (NP) and surface‐decorated BODIPY‐2I photosensitizer (PS) glycosaminoglycan (GAG) targeting agent for CD44 receptors on digestive tract tumor cells. Under illumination, light‐triggered not only kills cells directly, also leads to their dysfunction overload. An enhanced antitumor efficiency via photodynamic therapy (PDT) overload synergistic therapy.

The transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1 (TRPV1) is a transmembrane protein that can be activated by various physical and chemical stimuli associated with pain transduction.In recent years, TRPV1 was discovered to play essential roles in cancer tumorigenesis development, as expression levels are altered numerous cell types.Several investigations have direct associations between proliferation, death, metastasis.Furthermore, about two dozen agonists/antagonists under clinical trial, drug target for treating diseases.Hence, more researchers focusing on the effects of agonists or antagonists development.However, both may reveal anti-cancer effects, effect function via independent TRPV1.In this review, we provide an overview impact metastasis, well therapy tumor microenvironment, consider implications using future research therapeutic approaches.

Breast cancer is one of the most frequent types worldwide and first cause cancer-related deaths in women. Although significant therapeutic advances have been achieved with drugs such as tamoxifen trastuzumab, breast still caused 627,000 2018. Since a multifactorial disease, it has become necessary to develop new molecular therapies that can target several relevant cellular processes at once. Ion channels are versatile regulators physiological- pathophysiological-related mechanisms, including cancer-relevant tumor progression, apoptosis inhibition, proliferation, migration, invasion, chemoresistance. main functions, conducting ions selectively through pore-forming structure located plasma membrane, protein–protein interactions their regulatory mechanisms. Among different ion channel families, Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) family stands out context since members proposed prognostic markers this pathology. However, only few approaches exist block specific activity during tumoral progress. In article, we describe TRP involved progress particular focus on binding partners also described drivers progression. Here, propose disrupting these attractive potential targets for treating neoplastic disease.

The biological functions of short open reading frame (sORF)-encoded micropeptides remain largely unknown. Here, we report that LINC00998, a previously annotated lncRNA, was upregulated in multiple cancer types and the sORF on LINC00998 encoded micropeptide named SMIM30. SMIM30 localized membranes endoplasmic reticulum (ER) mitochondria. Silencing inhibited proliferation hepatoma cells vitro suppressed growth tumor xenografts N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced hepatoma. Overexpression 5'UTR-sORF sequence encoding wild-type SMIM30, enhanced cell growth, but this abolished when premature stop codon introduced into via single-base deletion. Gain- loss-of-function studies revealed peptide not reduced cytosolic calcium level, increased CDK4, cyclin E2, phosphorylated-Rb E2F1, promoted G1/S phase transition proliferation. effect silencing attenuated by chelator or agonist sarco/endoplasmic ATPase (SERCA) pump. These findings suggest novel function promoting enhancing SERCA activity reducing level.

Abstract Tongue squamous cell carcinoma is highly malignant and has a poor prognosis. In this study, we aimed to combine whole-genome sequencing, methylation, whole-transcriptome analyses understand the molecular mechanisms of tongue better.
