Abstract
Family
businesses
are
often
seen
as
key
players
in
efforts
to
increase
sustainability
due
their
transgenerational
focus.
Researchers
have
reported
that
companies
strengthen
commitment
they
consolidate
entrepreneurial
commitment,
but
the
existing
knowledge
about
drivers
of
family
firms'
choices
is
limited.
This
study
sought
fill
related
research
gaps
by
exploring
relationships
between
five
orientation
(EO)
components—risk
taking,
innovativeness,
proactiveness,
competitive
aggressiveness
and
autonomy—and
businesses'
initiatives.
These
comprise
a
unique
context

EO‐sustainability
