Purpose This study examines the impact of humble leadership on service recovery performance (SRP) frontline employees (FSEs) in hospitality industry. It also explores mediating underlying mechanisms psychological empowerment and employee engagement, along with moderating role proactive personality. Design/methodology/approach To test our predictions, we used a cross-sectional research design, drawing sample 456 Egypt’s The data were analyzed by using SPSS 27 AMOS 22. Findings reveals positive association between SRP, engagement bridging this relationship. Furthermore, an employee’s personality strengthens both direct influence these –psychological – indirect SRP through two mechanisms. Practical implications foster among employees, firms should promote practices their managerial supervisory staff. In addition, leaders enhance while seeking to recruit personalities. Originality/value extends effect unexplored consequence current scholarly literature. about conditional deepen understanding how when are more effective shaping SRP.

Abstract Aim This study was designed to examine the relationship between humble leadership and nurses' turnover intention investigate moderating role of leader expertise in this relationship.
