Epidemiological studies demonstrated that cleaning work and frequent use of products are risk factors for asthma. Laundry detergents have been reported to epithelial barrier-opening effects. However, whether laundry directly induce airway inflammation its mechanisms in vivo remain be elucidated. Two commercial two commonly used surfactants cosmetics (sodium lauryl sulfate sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) were intranasally administered mice. Lungs analyzed using flow cytometry, histology, ELISA, quantitative PCR. Human bronchial cells stimulated with PCR western blotting. Involvement oxidative stress was assessed an antioxidant. Dust samples from homes determine their detergent content by measuring critical micelle concentration (CMC).The surfactants-induced eosinophilic accompanied increased IL-33 expression activation group 2 innate lymphoid (ILC2s). Detergent-induced significantly attenuated Rag2-/- Il2rg-/- , Il33-/- mice, also wild-type mice treated NAC. airways NAC treatment, both vitro. CMCs found all the tested dust extracts, they differed among homes. The through cell ILC2 activation. They induced stress. Furthermore, residues present house presumably inhaled into daily life.

Since the 1960 s, our health has been compromised by exposure to over 350,000 newly introduced toxic substances, contributing current pandemic in allergic, autoimmune and metabolic diseases. The "Epithelial Barrier Theory" postulates that these diseases are exacerbated persistent periepithelial inflammation (epithelitis) triggered a wide range of epithelial barrier-damaging substances as well genetic susceptibility. barrier serves body's primary physical, chemical, immunological against external stimuli. A leaky facilitates translocation microbiome from surface afflicted tissues interepithelial even deeper subepithelial locations. In turn, opportunistic bacterial colonization, microbiota dysbiosis, local impaired tissue regeneration remodelling follow. Disparities in social determinants of health (SDOH) play a significant role causing inequities globally. The physical environment, including housing and workplace can increase the prevalence spread fungal infections. A number professions are associated with increased infection risk low pay, which may be linked to crowded sub-optimal living conditions, exposure organisms, lack access quality care, for infection. Those involved displaced from areas armed conflict have an invasive Lastly, plant pathogens already threaten food security, will become more problematic global climate change. Taken together, disparities SDOH contracting More emphasis needs placed on systematic approaches better understand impact reducing these disparities.

air pollution is a complex mixture; novel multipollutant approaches could help understanding the health effects of multiple concomitant exposures to pollutants.to assess relationship long-term exposure with prevalence respiratory/allergic symptoms and diseases in an Italian multicenter study using single approaches.14420 adults living 6 cities (Ancona, Pavia, Pisa, Sassari, Turin, Verona) were investigated 2005-2011 within 11 different cohorts. Questionnaire information about risk factors outcomes was collected. Machine learning derived mean annual concentrations PM10, PM2.5, NO2 summer O3 (μg/m3) at residential level (1-km resolution) used for period 2013-2015. The associations between four pollutants symptoms/diseases assessed two approaches: a) logistic regression models (single-pollutant models), b) principal component (multipollutant models). All adjusted age, sex, education level, smoking habits, season interview, climatic index included random intercept cohorts.the three-year average (± standard deviation) were: 20.3 ± 6.8 μg/m3 29.2 7.0 28.0 11.2 NO2, 70.9 4.3 O3. Through following emerged: PM10 PM2.5 related 14-25% increased odds rhinitis, 23-34% asthma 30-33% night awakening; 6-9% 7-8% 12% associated 37% attacks. Overall, Odds Ratios estimated through attenuated when compared those single-pollutant models.this enabled obtain new on adults, applying innovative methods assessment analyses.
