Objective The aim of this paper was to assess the efficacy process-based cognitive training (pb-CT) combined with reminiscence therapy (RT) in patients mild Alzheimer's disease (mAD) and impairment (MCI) healthy elderly (HE) subjects. Methods This multicenter, randomized, controlled trial involved 348 participants mAD, MCI, HE from four European countries. Participants were randomly assigned two arms a crossover design: those arm A underwent 3 months computerized pb-CT for memory executive functions RT rest; B reverse. primary outcome effect on performance. secondary functional abilities mAD assessed instrumental activities daily living. Results We found significant all three groups delayed recall Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test phonological fluency test. MCI maintained these effects at follow-up. also showed Mini-mental state examination scale. more stable living during versus rest period. Reminiscence therapy is known as an effective intervention method for elderly with various health conditions. This study was to provide basic data contributing the spread and development of by analyzing characteristics effects reminiscence applied at home.To select article be studied, literature published from January 2000 2021 searched through eight databases. A total 897 articles were searched, collected papers analyzed using flow chart Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Review Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Of these, 6 suitable selection criteria selected reviewing titles abstracts, excluding duplicate papers, EndNote X9 Excel 2013. The quality evaluated critical appraisal checklist Joanna Briggs Institute.For literature, most within last 10 years conducted, research design conducted only in experimental research. common form group reminiscence, type 'simple reminiscence'. provided ways, but 'Sharing' mainly used, representative topic recall 'Hometown'. Most performed less than times took about 60 min.According results this study, living community improving their life satisfaction. Therefore, it suggested that can helpful positive psychological factors promotion satisfaction community, further, considered contribute non-pharmacologically healthy aging community.

Abstract The aim of this study was to analyse the effect group narrative reminiscence therapy on cognition, quality life, attitudes towards ageing, and depressive symptoms in a older adults with cognitive impairment institutional care. A quasi‐experimental pretest/post‐test control design employed. Interventions involving approach were included care plan implemented groups between five ten respondents once week for 8 weeks (total 59 participants). members ( n = 57) received standard questionnaire designed measure demographic characteristics, life (WOHQOL‐BREF, WHOQOL‐OLD), (GDS), cognition (MMSE), ageing (AAQ). Reminiscence positively affected adults’ (mostly areas mental health social participation), also their old age. It reduced depression, but had no discernible function. can affect selected aspects age, depression elderly long‐term healthcare facilities. Group be used as nursing intervention.

Introduction Reminiscence therapy has been a high-benefit and low-cost measure of psychosocial intervention for older adults in recent years. To examine effects of multivitamin supplements on cognitive function, serum homocysteine level, and depression Korean older adults with mild impairment (MCI) in care facilities.A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed.Forty-eight 65 years age MCI (experimental, n = 24; control, 24) who were living facilities Gyeong-gi-do, Korea, recruited. The purpose of this study was to investigate the extent which a reminiscence intervention reduces depressed mood and improves life satisfaction psychological well-being. 160 healthy elderly people participated in 10-session intervention. An experimental design with pretest posttest evaluations applied, comparing control group an evaluate effects program. Follow-up measures were also taken find out whether intervention's positive lasted over time. Abstract Background China has the world’s largest aging population and number of empty-nest older adults is on rise. In comparison to in general, have a lower level subjective well-being poorer mental health status due lack emotional support from their children. The aim this study conduct an empirical evaluate efficacy ‘Path-oriented Psychological Self-help Intervention’ (P-oPSI) led by nurses community, provide scientific foundation for improving quality life. Methods A Quasi-Experimental controlled intervention was conducted 2015 2017. total 76 2 districts were recruited using convenience sampling assigned groups based residential communities city Chifeng Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. wait list control group participated lecture gain knowledge learn techniques promotion. additionally received 1 month training nurse-led ‘P-oPSI’ month. Both followed-up 3 months. Mental status, coping styles, psychological self-help ability participating empty nest assessed at baseline, month, 3-months follow up, respectively. Two-way analysis variance simple effect test used analyse differences two groups. Results P-oPSI yielded greater benefit participants group. Combined with test, scores positive style, those significantly increased after baseline (F = 7.59, F style 7.24, 7.07); sustainable program lasted months 13.24, 10.42, 10.45), which reached statistical significance ( P < 0.01).
