Abstract Background Food clubs are a higher-agency food aid intervention that charge small fee for set number of items. Research indicates that food parcels provided by banks are nutritionally poor. Food insecurity and the use of both rising, with detrimental effects on dietary intake health users. Abstract Obesity remains a serious public health concern in rich countries and the current obesogenic food environments insecurity are predictors of this disease. The impact these variables on rising obesity trends is, however, mixed inconsistent, due to measurement issues cross‐sectional study designs. Food banks play a vital role in addressing the needs of people experiencing food insecurity. rely on industry, particularly supermarkets, for donations, and voluntary labor to scrutinize sort donations quality safety. ABSTRACT African policymakers have astutely prioritized agricultural expenditure as a crucial strategy to address food insecurity in the continent. The "heat-or-eat" dilemma, a trade-off typically between food consumption and heating, may elevate public health concerns during the 2022 energy-price crisis. Our paper contributes to literature by exploring role of domestic energy prepayment meters (PPMs) in heat-or-eat focusing on association PPM use fruit vegetable consumption. Using representative sample 24,811 individuals residing Great Britain (January 2019–May 2021), we find robust evidence lower amongst using PPMs, compared those post-payment bill payment methods. On average, our point estimates suggest that consume 2.7 fewer portions vegetables per week. findings hold when bounding analysis is employed account for omitted variable bias. suite IV approaches further alleviate endogeneity found ordinary least squares results are consistent as opposed models.
