Melatonin is a ubiquitous regulator in plants and performs variety of physiological roles, including resistance to abiotic stress, regulation growth development, enhancement plant immunity. exhibits the characteristics phytohormone with its pleiotropic effects, biosynthesis, conjugation, catabolism, effective concentration, shape location dose-response curves. In addition, CAND2/PMTR1, phytomelatonin receptor candidate belonging G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), supports concept melatonin as phytohormone. However, biochemistry needs be further characterized. particular, some experimental findings date cannot explained by known GPCR signaling mechanisms, so studies are needed explore possibility novel mechanisms.

Abstract Proteases help plants maintain protein quality and break down subsets in reply to environmental, developmental, biotic, abiotic stressors. Filamentation temperature-sensitive H (FtsH) is an ATP-dependent metalloprotease detected both prokaryotes eukaryotes cells. The present research, the FtsH gene bean, which has important place legume family agricultural product, was characterized for first time using various bioinformatic tools, qRT-PCR measured its expression level. In study, effectively identified 17 genes genome of Phaseolus vulgaris . MW proteins varied from 71.16 147.07 kDa, their amino acid lengths ranged 642 1284, pI values 5.39 9.60. Interestingly, distribution these distinct PvFtsH across 8 chromosomes not uniform, exhibiting uneven pattern throughout genome. A pair segmental duplication fragments were found, revealing probable processes expansion evolution. Collinearity with related Arabidopsis rice thoroughly examined determine evolutionary conservation differentiation genes. Additionally, we used RNAseq investigate patterns leaf tissue under salt drought conditions. Our data showed unique patterns, suggesting may respond environmental physiological Overall, this work makes major contributions our understanding roles context evolution, chromosomal distribution, situations.

Selenium has the function of bio-stimulating hormone. However, underlying physiological and molecular mechanisms melatonin abscisic acid as secondary messengers in improving cold tolerance by selenium are limited. This study investigated effects selenite on stress cucumber seedlings. The results showed that content endogenesis significantly changed with exogenous application under stress. Interestingly, we found iron this process. Salinity and cadmium exposure to agrarian land lowers crop yield imposes toxicity in the food chain, ultimately affecting sustainable agriculture. Melatonin (Mel) calcium (Ca) have been reported as potent regulators of plant growth stress resistance. Based on this scenario, study investigated sole combined effects Mel Ca improving antioxidant properties, mineral content, germination sprout, tolerance soybean seedlings under salt (Cd) stress. Optimal doses 20 µM 1 mM were identified enhance sprout quality seed germination. Treatments with > inhibited germination, while combination (20 µM) (1 mM) significantly improved content (Ca, P, K), including DPPH(2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) activity, polyphenols, flavonoids, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. However, melatonin 50 could completely cease sprouting, whereas a concentration up 10 was observed be normal sprouting. Additionally, reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) levels enhanced proline, indicating decreased oxidative conditions. Among various treatments tested, Mel-Ca most effective enhancing biomass, viability Salt+Cd These findings underscore synergistic role optimizing pretreatment for mitigation seeds also address precaution possible negative impact effects.

Fodder soybean (Glycine max L.) with high protein and yield is a popular forage grass in northeast China. Seasonal drought inhibits its growth development during seedling stage. The objective of this study was to observe morpho-physiological changes fodder seedlings under melatonin (MT) treatments identify appropriate concentration alleviate the damage. Two varieties commonly used China were treated 0, 50, 100, 150 μM at soil water content 30%. results indicated that applying enhanced height, biomass altered root morphology water-deficient conditions. different concentrations significantly reduced contents H2O2, O2− MDA, while boosting capacity antioxidant defense system osmotic adjustment substances. Meanwhile, increases light energy capture transmission efficiency observed. Furthermore, treatment regulated expression levels genes associated photosynthesis system. Notably, 100 produced most favorable effect all These research provide new information for enhancing tolerance using chemical measures.
