This
minireview
highlights
the
importance
of
endophytic
fungi
for
sustainable
agriculture
and
horticulture
production.
Fungal
endophytes
play
a
key
role
in
habitat
adaptation
plants
resulting
improved
plant
performance
protection
against
biotic
abiotic
stresses.
They
encode
vast
variety
novel
secondary
metabolites
including
volatile
organic
compounds.
In
addition
to
protecting
pathogens
pests,
selected
fungal
have
been
used
remove
animal
toxicities
associated
with
temperate
grasses,
create
corn
rice
that
are
tolerant
range
stresses,
management
post-harvest
control.
We
argue

Fungal
entomopathogens
have
been
proposed
as
environmentally
friendly
alternatives
to
chemical
control.
Unfortunately,
their
effectiveness
continues

limited
by
susceptibility
ultraviolet

and
low
moisture.

recent
development,

use
of
fungal
endophytes,
might
overcome
traditional
obstacles
impeding
widespread
adoption
