Purpose This paper aims to examine the longitudinal relationships between intensity of remote work (IRW) and job performance (JP) with mediation effect work–life balance (WLB) moderation by overload (WO). Design/methodology/approach A three-wave survey, covering pre-pandemic period, pandemic itself post-pandemic was conducted among 291 employees. The authors applied linear regression analysis a moderated cross-lagged structural equation model using Mplus 8. Findings results show that IRW WLB JP are negative in short term; yet over time, employees able adapt benefit from flexibility offered (RW). can contribute better long run. Furthermore, plays moderating role long-term relationship RW JP. There is second-stage on this WO. Due to the increasing use of remote work, understanding dynamics employee support and its implications for job satisfaction work–life balance is crucial. Utilizing Conservation Resources (COR) theory as a theoretical framework, this research investigated how feeling supported by leaders colleagues at work fosters among employees. The study involved 635 workers (females = 61%, mean age, 46.7, SD 11) from various service-based industries public administration in Italy. Results structural equation model showed total mediating effect link between colleague (χ2(22) 68.923, p 0.00, CFI 0.973, TLI 0.955, RMSEA 0.059 (90% CI 0.044–0.075, 0.158), SRMR 0.030), emphasizing role interpersonal relationships within workplace enhancing workers’ and, consequently, their balance. The term "day drinking" is used colloquially to refer drinking alcohol during daytime hours and has become part of the vernacular surrounding use. Given the rise of remote work in wake COVID-19 pandemic, many studies have investigated how working from home (WFH) is related to employee well-being. So far, findings been mixed and based predominantly on cross-sectional analyses. We used multi-level regression models describe longitudinal relationship between WFH well-being over 11 assessments April 2020 November 2023, a unique, population-based sample N = 3403 employed participants five European countries.
