Abstract Metaverse has garnered considerable attention in recent times. Given its swift pace of development, it is imperative to study the adoption metaverse. This analyses perceptions and drivers influencing behavioural intention use metaverse among Generation Z millennials by employing a sequential mixed‐methods approach. In first stage study, in‐depth expert interviews were conducted ( n = 20), subsequent featured countrywide survey 1253). We explored the influencing factors of usage intention a metaverse education application platform that directly influence optimization its service function, improve intention, and realize promotion technology in domain. Based on characteristics platform, we integrated PPM (push–pull–mooring) model TAM (technology acceptance model) to construct intention. Ultimately, 275 valid questionnaires were collected through expert demonstration, pre-investigation, formal investigation, other processes. In addition, our paper used SEM (structural equation fsQCA (fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis) analyze user willingness their configuration paths. The study found personalized learning, contextualized teaching, perceived usefulness, ease use, social needs, impact play significant positive roles use platform. Meanwhile, obtained findings show experience-led community-driven mode, personality-led social-led utility-driven mode serve as potential guidelines for enhancement.

The purpose of this study is to formulate an acceptance scale grounded in the Unified Theory Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) model. designed scrutinize students' generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications. This tool assesses levels toward AI development was conducted three phases, encompassing 627 university students from various faculties who have utilized tools such as ChatGPT during 2022–2023 academic year. To evaluate face content validity scale, input sought professionals with expertise field. initial sample group (n = 338) underwent exploratory factor analysis (EFA) explore underlying factors, while subsequent 250) confirmatory (CFA) for verification structure. Later, it seen that four factors comprising 20 items accounted 78.349% total variance due EFA. CFA results confirmed structure featuring (performance expectancy, effort facilitating conditions, social influence), compatible obtained data. The Metaverse technology (MVTECH) is an immersive virtual sphere where people interact with each other via avatars. MVTECH promised to provide a number of potentials for various sectors including higher education. Despite the fact that promotes social interaction between (e.g., university students), there lack knowledge on what affects users’ perceptions regarding its sustainability in HEIs, specifically developing nations. Therefore, this research paper aims determine variables affect learners’ toward (SS) educational institutions (HEIs) Jordan. A study model was formulated by integrating core factors “unified theory acceptance and use technology” (UTAUT) (“performance expectancy, PE; effort EE; influence, SI; facilitating conditions, FC”) “perceived curiosity” (PC) “extraversion” (EXT) factors. Both PC EXT were included as context-related may possibly contribute enhancing applicability UTAUT wide range information technologies settings. Data collected from 422 students enrolled Jordanian universities based online survey. analysis “structural equation modeling” (SEM) found students’ significantly influenced PE, FC, EXT. Furthermore, construct affected EE construct. However, SI revealed have no significant impact SS. Purpose Technology 4.0 comes with a challenge to understand the degree of users’ willingness adopt digital transformation. Metaverse, being transformation, enables real-world activities in virtual environment, which attracts organizations new fascinating technology. This paper thus explores uses and gratification factors affecting user adoption recommendation metaverse from management perspective. Design/methodology/approach The study adopts mixed approach where structural topic modeling is used analyze tweets about metaverse, themes uncovered were further analyzed through data collection using equation modeling. Findings analyses revealed that social interaction, escapism, convenient navigability, telepresence significantly affect intent use while trendiness showed insignificance. In users can embody avatars or representations, express themselves, communicate nonverbally, interact others more natural intuitive manner. Originality/value contributes research as it first its kind explore Uses Gratification theory approach. Moreover, authors performed two-step involving both qualitative quantitative techniques, giving perspective metaverse-related study.
