Responsiveness is important in public-service delivery. This study explores three elements that contribute to responsiveness—emotional labor, job engagement, and ethical leadership. Three findings emerge: First, terms of workers their expression work-related emotion, authentic emotive relates positively with engagement while pretending feel the emotion being displayed has a negative relationship. Artificial Intelligence (AI) policies and strategies have been designed adopted in the public sector during last few years, with Chief Information Officers (CIOs) playing a key role. Using socio-cognitive institutional approaches on Technologies (ITs) (public) organizations, we consider that assumptions, expectations, knowledge (technological frames) of those charge designing AI are guiding future these emerging systems sector. In this study, focus technological frames CIOs largest Spanish local governments. Based survey administered to leading IT departments, article presents original data about their AI. Are You Being Served? The Responsiveness of Public Administration to Citizens’ Demands: An Empirical Examination in Israel DOI

Research in public administration (PA) is preoccupied with questions of efficiency and effectiveness which are aimed at improving sector performance. According to the new management approach, addressing this prominent challenge must rely upon a comprehensive understanding citizens’/clients’ perceptions operation extent organizations aware needs. This study presents a three‐year effort to public sector innovation in Europe from the viewpoint of citizen. It examines model across multinational sample eight countries and 626 participants. This article deals with the nexus between bureaucracy and democracy in a management-oriented public sector. The develops idea that administration plays major role determining citizens' political attitudes behaviors. A theoretical model is suggested to examine relationship among perceptions of involvement participation administrative decision making, perceived managerial quality, sector performance, democratic participatory behavior (i.e., trust agencies, participation, community involvement). sample 2,281 Israeli citizens provided information on research variables over 5-year period (2001–05).
