Abstract Background Early childhood caries remains a significant public health concern among Indigenous children in Canada. Integrating risk assessment into primary care settings could improve early detection and intervention. Objectives This qualitative study explored the barriers to implementing integrating Canadian Caries Risk Assessment (CRA) tool of First Nations Métis Manitoba, based on perspectives non-dental providers (NDPCPs). Methods Fifty NDPCPs providing under six years age were purposefully selected from ten communities including Winnipeg, Selkirk, St. Laurent, Swan River, Pine Creek, Camperville, Falls. The employed an exploratory design, with data collected through eight focus groups twelve in-depth key informant interviews conducted between April 2023 September 2024. Selenomonas noxia, a gram-negative anaerobe usually present in periodontitis, may be linked to overweight and obese adults. Recent advancements include valid qPCR screening, enabling an effective prevalence study among pediatric patients aged 7 17 years. The aim of this was complete retrospective screening saliva samples from existing biorepository using validated protocol. sample (n = 87) comprised nearly equal numbers males females, mostly minority (67%), with average age 13.2 Screening for noxia revealed 34.4% 30/87) positive samples, evenly distributed between females (p 0.5478). However, age-dependent association observed higher percentages ages (13.3% 10 years; 34.6% 11 13 54.8% 14–17 years), which statistically significant 0.0001). Although these findings no noteworthy distinctions or minorities non-minorities, the notable contrast younger (7 years) older (11 participants, possibly influenced by factors such as hormones behavioral traits, will require further investigation patient population.

Abstract Background Endocrown in pediatric dentistry was rooted the fundamental principles of preserving healthy dental tissues, leveraging contemporary adhesive methodologies. Aim This research aimed on assessing and comparing fracture resistance pulpotomized primary molars when rehabilitated with zirconia crowns two distinct types endocrowns, namely E-Max Brilliant Crios. Methods The study involved thirty, anonymized, freshly extracted second that underwent pulpotomy. These teeth were then evenly divided into three groups, each consisting ten specimens: crown, endocrown, Crios endocrown groups. Post-pulpotomy, prepared for their respective restorations. Subsequent to this preparation, crowns, endocrowns secured. To evaluate using a computer-controlled testing machine (Instron), progressively increasing load applied group until occurred. gathered data analyzed outliers subjected normality Shapiro-Wilk and/or Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, significance threshold set at 0.05. Results There no statistically significant difference among lithium disilicate (E-Max) (mean=1367.59N), (mean=1349.73N) (mean=1240.82N). Conclusion Endocrowns can be considered promising restoration molars.
