The prevalence of age-related degenerative joint diseases, particularly intervertebral disc degeneration and osteoarthritis, is increasing, thereby posing significant challenges for the elderly population. Allergic rhinitis (AR) is an immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated inflammatory disorder of the nasal mucosa, and impact ozone on AR gaining increasing attention. Although NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated 3 (NLRP3) plays a crucial role in pathogenesis AR, its regulatory mechanisms ozone-induced exacerbation remain unclear.
