Insufficient funding is frequently identified as a critical barrier to the implementation and sustainment of evidence-based practices (EBPs). Thus, increasing access recognized an strategy. Policies that create earmarked taxes-defined taxes for which revenue can only be spent on specific activities-are increasingly common mental health financing strategy could improve reach EBPs. This project's aims are (1) identify all jurisdictions in USA have implemented catalogue information about tax design; (2) characterize experiences implementing among local (e.g., county, city) agency leaders other government community organization officials assess their perceptions acceptability feasibility different types policy strategies; (3) develop framework guide effect designs, inform selection strategies, disseminate audiences. The project uses Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) data collection determinants processes Leeman's typology strategies examine support implementation. A legal mapping will conducted achieve aim 1. To 2, survey 300 involved with health. Abstract Background Policy is receiving increasing attention in the field of implementation science. However, there remains a lack clear, concise guidance about how policy can be conceptualized science research. Building on Curran’s article “Implementation made too simple”—which defines “the thing” as intervention, practice, or innovation need support—we offer typology four very basic ways to conceptualize We provide examples studies that have these different and connect aspects established frameworks field. The simplifies refines related typologies Four think 1) something adopt: an evidence-supported proposal goal research understand policymaking processes modified increase adoption, thus reach, policy. Policy-focused dissemination well-suited achieve this goal. 2) implement: policy, not, generate knowledge rollout (or de-implementation) optimized maximize benefits for population health equity. 3) context understand: intervention policies are fixed determinant outcomes. mechanisms through which affect intervention. 4) strategy use: understand, ideally test, strategies outcomes Conclusion multiple, non-mutually exclusive Clear conceptualizations distinctions important advancing policy-focused promoting integration into more broadly.

Abstract Background The loss of a pregnancy or the death baby around time their birth can have profound impacts on parents, families and staff involved. There is much opportunity to enhance systematic uptake evidence-based interventions service provision, lived experiences outcomes. Challenges exist translating research evidence into policy practice, however. Pregnancy remains neglected area resourcing steeped in stigma. While barriers facilitators use by decision-makers public health services are well documented, we aimed better understand factors that influence translation practice policy. Methods We conducted qualitative online survey knowledge users Ireland, identified through our clinical academic networks, between January March 2022. comprised ten questions, with three closed informed Knowledge Translation Planning Template©. Questions included who could benefit from research, perceived preferred strategies. analysed data using reflexive thematic analysis. Results 46 participants analysis, which generated two central themes. first—‘End silence; stigma inequality awareness understanding, supports’—addresses issues related stigma, sensitivities silence, lack relevance priority afforded loss. second theme—‘Use range tailored, accessible approaches engage large, diverse users’—highlights need relevant, accessible, engaging information, resources materials efforts, variety tailored suit different audiences, including materials, workshops/webinars, media, brokers champions opinion leaders. Conclusions Our analysis provides rich insights field research. key strategies be used inform planning international applicability.

Abstract Background Dissemination is a critical element of the knowledge translation pathway, and necessary step to ensure research evidence adopted implemented by key end users in order improve health outcomes. However, evidence-based guidance inform dissemination activities limited. This scoping review aimed identify describe scientific literature examining strategies disseminate public related prevention non-communicable diseases. Methods Medline, PsycInfo EBSCO Search Ultimate were searched May 2021 for studies published between January 2000 search date that reported on evidence, within context Studies synthesised according four components Brownson colleagues’ Model Research (source, message, channel audience), as well study design. Results Of 107 included studies, only 14% (n = 15) directly tested using experimental designs. The remainder primarily preferences different populations, or outcomes such awareness, intentions adopt following dissemination. Evidence diet, physical activity and/or obesity was most disseminated topic. Researchers source over half findings/knowledge summaries more frequently message compared guidelines an program/intervention. A broad range channels utilised, although peer-reviewed publications/conferences presentations/workshops predominated. Practitioners commonly target audience. Novel adulterants and synthetic substances are rapidly infiltrating the US drug supply causing new clinical harms. There is an urgent need for responsive education training to address these evolving harms mitigate risks. Since 2020, xylazine, a veterinary tranquilizer, has become increasingly common in illicit opioid supply, especially alongside fentanyl. Training technical assistance (TTA) programs employing adaptive model can quickly disseminate emerging information provide tools respond effectively. We describe our TTA program’s experience developing delivering virtual instructor-led xylazine diverse group of addiction care professionals. The objectives included following: (1) introducing epidemiologic trends, pharmacology, existing literature related xylazine; (2) reviewing xylazine-associated management; (3) discussing harm reduction strategies use. conducted 14 sessions between October 2022 July 2023, which were attended by over 2000 individuals across 49 states. review innovative content managing flexible logistics highlight lessons learned, including targeting multidisciplinary professionals, leveraging online synchronous delivery methods, sustainable funding programs.
