This research investigates the key factors influencing young users’ continuous use of digital twin-enhanced metaverse museums. Attracting users to museum for a more extended period consistently contributes increasing frequency visits and content usage promoting its sustainable development innovation. However, there is lack on museums, which makes theoretical basis in-depth design user motivation museums insufficient. study constructed model covering four dimensions—hedonic, utilitarian, social, technological—based communication’s uses gratification theory (UGT). It was validated in Metaverse Digital Twin Museum (MDTM). Using Spatial.io’s IES Goya as experimental platform, team conducted Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0 software through experiments surveys with 307 participants aged 18 30. Quantitative analyses revealed that MDTM’s hedonic (hope), utilitarian (information self-presentation), social (social interaction presence), technological (immersion) significantly influenced continued intention. The findings reveal these six can be focus future enhance experience. fills gap applying UGT field provides managers references prolong intention use, points out need further attention practice.

Abstract Digital museums play a crucial role in facilitating users' access to and exploration of digital cultural heritage resources. However, exploring the factors influencing user engagement with these from experience perspective remains essential. This study evaluates driving continuous behavioral intention towards museum Beijing’s central axis, integrating new task-technology fit (TTF) unified theory acceptance use technology (UTAUT) models, introducing perceived enjoyment, design aesthetics, value as additional variables. Analyzing survey data (n = 377) utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM), identifies following key findings: (1) task characteristics significantly impact TTF; (2) performance expectancy, effort all positively intention; (3) technological were observed expectancy; but (4) TTF social influence did not have no significant intention. These findings offer valuable insights into heritage, offering practical guidance for future development optimization museums, highlighting specific implications suggestions enhancing experience.

This paper explores the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology within realm cultural heritage tourism, particularly its influence on development tourists’ heritage-responsibility behaviors. Addressing recovery and Chinese domestic tourism in post-pandemic period, smart innovations have been explored. The research demonstrates that AR, by surpassing physical temporal constraints, fosters a deeper synthesis traditional contemporary cultures, thereby enriching comprehension national history heritage. Employing stimulus–organism–response (SOR) theory, theoretical framework is established to elucidate causal links from AR attributes perceived usefulness, enjoyment, behavioral intentions. analysis reveals interactivity, vividness, novelty significantly augment usefulness although augmentation quality does not notably impact enjoyment. Both enjoyment drive intention recommend. study offers valuable insights practical recommendations for strategic deployment sustainable tourism.

This study explores psychological dimensions AR in education, focusing on motivation academic achievement museums. A quantitative research was carried out, encompassing a survey 266 visitors at Wuhan Natural History Museum. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) employed as analytical tool validate proposed model. The findings reveal positive effects information quality immersion, imagination, achievement, well richness achievement. Information mediates relationship between immersion/imagination, while immersion imagination mediate association motivation. Additionally, positively influences Furthermore, wearable comfort moderates effect imagination. provides theoretical insights into complex interplay these variables their impact have implications for design AR-based systems highlight importance considering enhancing user experiences.
