Abstract
Using
Q
methodology,
this
study
examines
the
challenges
in
English-medium
instruction
(EMI)
and
corresponding
coping
strategies
among
engineering
students.
The
participants
included
47
current
former
undergraduate
students
at
a
Thai
university.
findings
revealed
three
factors,
each
representing
distinct
combination
of
strategies.
first
factor
represents
who
encountered
unfamiliar
characteristics
instructors,
yet
they
adopted
an
emotion-focused
approach,
treating
these
unfamiliarities
as
opportunities.

to
complexity
writing
tasks
due
limited
vocabulary

by
using
various
learning

mixed-methods
research
used

systematically
explore
people's
subjectivity.
Despite
an
increasing
number
of
theoretical
and
empirical
studies
in
applied
linguistics
(AL)
adopting
this
methodology,
we
found
lack
systematic
syntheses
examining
how
has
so
far
served
the
field,
especially
considering
complexity

instrument

data
collection
analysis.
To
address
gap,
conducted

research,

This

Abstract
This
study
employs
Q
methodology
to
analyze
the
job
satisfaction
of
healthcare
interpreters/translators
who
serve
Myanmar
migrant
workers
in
Thailand.
The
unique
working
conditions
imposed
by
pandemic

from

perspectives
interpreters

translators,

English-medium
