Background: Epigenetic modifications like promoter DNA methylation modulate the activity of cancer-associated genes.Pomegranate fruit extract (PE) possesses immense potential in cancer treatment.To best our knowledge, effect PE on status has not yet been investigated or reported before.Aim: to investigate that exerts its anti-cancer effects by altering expression proapoptotic Caspase-3 and proangiogenic VEGF genes via modulating their breast (BC) patients receiving chemotherapy.Material Methods: Bioinformatics analysis followed Methylation-specific PCR were used assess 25 healthy females 500 mg daily, BC a chemotherapy regimen (AC 60/600), 31 combination 60/600) + PE.To if was major effector gene expression, protein levels for cleaved measured ELISA.Finally, since dietary antioxidants alter pattern methylation, serum antioxidant power using FRAP assay.Results: supplementation reduced Chemotherapy (12% 3%), increased caspase-3 level 74.2%.On other hand, treatment slightly enhanced 36.99%.Conclusion: This study is first reports modulation as novel epigenetic mechanism action pro-apoptotic anti-angiogenic effects.

Abstract This is a comparative study to evaluate the effectiveness of six pomegranate peel extracts (PPEs) as antibacterial and antiproliferative agents. Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) is well known for its high content of bioactives, including polyphenols, flavonoids, and tannins, which have been shown to exhibit a wide range biological activities, such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticancer effects. It worth noting that the majority these molecules are found in peels, usually disposed after processing, causing significant amount waste, amounting more than 3.6 million t/y. This work investigates microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) water recovery antioxidants from pomegranate peels (PP), optimisation temperature times. The total phenolic, anthocyanin, flavonoid, tannin contents recovered extracts were determined, their antioxidant be 356.35 mgGAE/gExtr, 303.97 µgCy3G/gExtr, 37.28 mgQE/gExtr, 56.48 5.72 mmolTE/gExtr, respectively (according adopted reference). All results compared with those obtained using conventional protocol. In addition, potential recycling by means downstream nanofiltration optimised MAE was investigated, leading overall reuse approx. 75%. Power consumption (20.92 W/mgGAE) common green metrics, Reaction Mass Efficiency (RME), E-Factor, Process Intensiti/efficiency (PMI, PME), considered evaluating proposed PP valorisation strategy.
