In the evolving landscape of cardiac rehabilitation (CR), adopting digital technologies, including synchronous/real-time interventions and smart applications, has emerged as a transformative approach. These technologies offer real-time health data access, continuous vital sign monitoring, personalized educational enhanced patient self-management engagement. Despite their potential benefits, challenges limitations exist, necessitating careful consideration. Synchronous/real-time CR involves remote, two-way audiovisual communication, addressing issues accessibility promoting home-based interventions. Smart applications extend beyond traditional healthcare, providing fostering empowerment. Wearable devices mobile apps enable tracking outcomes, facilitate lifestyle modifications crucial for maintenance. As progresses, ensuring equitable implementation, divide becomes paramount. Artificial intelligence holds promise in early detection events tailoring patient-specific programs. However, such literacy, privacy, security must be addressed to ensure inclusive implementation. Moreover, shift toward raises concerns about cost, safety, depersonalization therapeutic relationships. A towards technologically enabled necessitates further research, focusing not only on technological advancements but also customization meet diverse needs. Overcoming related security, is widespread adoption CR. Future studies should explore integrating moral values into relationships that accessible, equitable, seamlessly integrated routine care. Theoretical frameworks accommodate dynamic quality monitoring feedback feature considered guide intervention development.

The promotion of mental health is essential for global health, affecting millions with disorders such as anxiety and depression. Although stigma discrimination hinder progress, these conditions are often preventable or manageable at minimal cost. adoption digital tools in promotion, including telemedicine, online therapy, social media, wearables, offers promising new avenues to address issues. This review proposes a framework that focuses on the use enhance literacy, foster behavioral change, support sustained positive behaviors. Platforms TikTok, Facebook, Instagram can effectively disseminate information, increase awareness, accountability. Artificial intelligence-driven virtual agents offer personalised interventions, providing motivational customised advice. Additionally, wearable technology (e.g., fitness trackers smartwatches) enables real-time monitoring vital metrics, encouraging ongoing healthy activities. Nonetheless, technologies introduce challenges privacy issues, data security, equitable access resources, raising class rights protect privacy, guard against algorithm bias, prevent personality-changing manipulations. absence human interaction fully solutions also raises concerns about lack empathy emotional connection. For optimal integration conventional care practices adaptation diverse cultural backgrounds necessary. results this suggest tools, when carefully implemented, significantly improve outcomes by making more accessible, tailored, effective, especially underserved communities.

This trial assessed the feasibility and acceptability of Kidney BEAM, a physical activity emotional well-being self-management digital health intervention (DHI) for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which offers live on-demand sessions, educational blogs videos, peer support. In this mixed-methods, multicentre randomised waitlist-controlled internal pilot, adults established CKD were recruited from five NHS hospitals 1:1 to BEAM or waitlist control. Feasibility outcomes based upon priori progression criteria. Acceptability was primarily explored via individual semi-structured interviews (n = 15). Of 763 individuals screened, n 519 (68%, 95% CI 65 71%) eligible. those eligible, 303 (58%, 54-63%) did not respond an invitation participate by end pilot period. 216 responders, 50 (23%, 18-29%) consented. 42 randomised, 22 (10 (45%) male; 49 ± 16 years; 14 (64%) White British) allocated 20 (12 (55%) 56 11 15 (68%) control group. Overall, (30%, 18-45%) withdrew during phase. Participants completed median (IQR 5-21) sessions. At baseline, 90-100% outcome data (patient reported measures remotely conducted function test) 62-83% at 12 weeks follow-up. Interview revealed that remote procedures acceptable. Between 25 May 2024 2 June 2024, we systematically searched PubMed®, Scopus, ClinicalTrials.gov, Global Observatory eHealth World Bank Open Knowledge Repository randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating We included studies published between 2000 that reported on adoption rates efficacy. Two reviewers independently screened studies, extracted data categorized according to Health Organization's classification interventions. Of 455 unique records identified, 21 RCTs met inclusion criteria. Most (15 studies) focused individual-centric interventions, such as targeted communication, personal tracking, educational tools wearable devices. Studies in high-income countries implemented advanced, integrated combining individual-focused approaches with worker services using telemedicine platforms decision support systems. In contrast, low- middle-income adapted accessible technologies mobile messaging telephone-based education. Many telehealth, significantly improved control, patient adherence, knowledge self-efficacy. five assessing cost-effectiveness, all found be cost-effective. Digital show promise managing diseases. Tailoring these local infrastructure emphasizing engagement are crucial successful adoption. Future research should focus standardizing evaluation methods, addressing divides enhancing provider services.

Abstract Although behavior change interventions are highly recommended in health care, their reach, a core dimension of the public impact interventions, is rarely evaluated. This study aimed to investigate whether an individualized, computer-based brief intervention reduce co-occurring risk behaviors (HRBs), namely tobacco smoking, at-risk alcohol use, insufficient physical activity, and unhealthy diet, can reach retain sufficiently large part general hospital patients (>75%) with high need, that more HRBs, low school education or current unemployment may be reached retained. Over 6 weeks 2022, all 18–64-year-old admitted 11 wards five medical departments university Germany were asked participate HRB screening pre-post three further assessments individualized computer-generated feedback. To associations between retention patient characteristics, logistic Poisson regression analysis used. Screening 78.9% eligible (225/285). Of those for study, 81.8% (175/214) participated intervention. Among these, 76.0% (133/175) at least once after hospitalization. Patients’ lifestyle socio-economic characteristics not significantly associated retention, Ps ≥ .467. Proactive multiple-HRB patients, including most need. When proven efficacious adequately implemented, this promising approach concerning reduction non-communicable diseases. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov NCT05365269, 9 May 2022.

BACKGROUND Heart failure remains a major global health issue, significantly impacting patients' quality of life due to its chronic and progressive nature. Effective discharge planning, including educational interventions such as videos booklets, plays crucial role in enhancing self-care management overall patient well-being. OBJECTIVE This study aims measure the effects planning booklets on among heart patients. METHODS employed quasi-experimental was conducted at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital from July November 2024. A total 42 participants who met inclusion criteria were selected based sample size calculations using G*Power evenly assigned intervention control groups. Discharge developed tools for group. The independent t-test used analyze effect intervention, utilizing SPSS version 29. RESULTS improved patients, with mean score decreasing 39.00 ± 8.11 24.76 4.02 (p = 0.000) In contrast, group showed minimal change 39.90 5.89 40.24 5.84, resulting statistically significant between-group difference 15.58 0.000). CONCLUSIONS through patients compared standard care. These findings emphasize clinical importance structured education, suggesting that multimedia printed materials can enhance self-management
