Abstract The environment represents one of the main collective responsibilities current period, marked by accelerated economic development. In context increasingly pronounced ecological deterioration and less sustainable practices, level involvement decision-makers population has become a great challenge. Beyond legislative mechanisms, which can help states improve their environmental performance, an important role is also played knowing direct indirect factors that act on this performance. specialized literature approaches performance from various angles, most studies being focused analysis tools how to measure it, shape it at national level. context, our approach takes into account synergies between European Union member (measured Environmental Performance Index - EPI) selected economic-social factors. sample includes 27 Union, carried out for period 2006-2022. research methodology based Bayesian network through Gaussian graphical models. obtained results show closely related social factors, positive or negative connections, relationship bidirectional. Our thus intended be useful in providing series information support both implementation policy adjustment some regulations.

The global energy crisis, which began in 2021 due to the extraordinary economic recovery after pandemic and intensified Russia’s invasion of Ukraine February 2022, has changed conditions management, paying more attention efficiency. Natural gas prices have reached record levels and, consequently, so electricity some markets. Oil their highest level since 2008. Higher contributed sharply increased inflation. Households are again becoming interested buying coal as a source heat. High pushed many families into poverty forced factories cut production or even close. They also slowed growth point where countries heading for serious recession. Paradoxically, negative effects crisis may accelerate introduction cleaner, sustainable, renewable such wind solar energy. is comparable oil 1970s, when it significant advances current highlighted importance investments resources initiated process integrating regional markets, developing efficiency promoting energies. aim this article comprehensively explore complex relationship between awareness, consumption patterns, efficiency, with focus on both individual consumers industries, during crisis. This paper based literature review, overarching policy documents, reports, other secondary documents. primary research method was systematic review method, impact evaluated. study emphasizes diverse influences ranging from factors consumer preferences environmental consciousness. findings underscore responsibility industries contributing energy-saving efforts active role market. highlighted, call comprehensive approach that integrates criteria product development corporate social responsibility.

The United Nations Development Summit in 2015 adopted the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, establishing a framework Goals (SDGs) with aim of achieving coordinated economic, social, and ecological development worldwide by 2030. “environmental, governance” (ESG) approach is important within concept SDGs subject increasing attention from scholars. Despite China’s significant contributions to SDGs, it still faces numerous challenges terms environmental governance development. With ongoing digital technology, many Chinese enterprises aspire harness dividends transformation order achieve SDGs. In this study, we help companies understand how they can improve their ESG performance through transformation. We use sample A-share listed China 2011 2020 construct index profiling frequency digital-related words companies’ annual reports using textual analysis. Furthermore, empirically examine direct effect on level disclosure explore mediating dynamic capabilities impact performance. Empirical testing reveals that indeed has positive enterprises’ performance, technology innovation enhance such as green innovation, social responsibility, operational management. findings indicate need actively develop promote technologies obtain benefits transformation, company executives including advanced decision-making processes an effort management efficiency, thereby improving

This study examines the impact of digital economy, technological innovation, financial accessibility, and urbanization on CO2 emissions in G-7 region from 1990 to 2019. The analysis employed Cross-Sectional Dependence (CSD) Slope Homogeneity tests, revealing presence CSD issues heterogeneous slope coefficients. First- second-generation panel unit root tests indicated no problem within dataset, with variables showing mixed integration orders. Panel cointegration confirmed that are cointegrated over long run. To assess short-run long-run impacts explanatory emissions, utilized Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. findings indicate economy significantly reduces while economic growth, increase region. robustness ARDL results was validated using Driscoll-Kraay standard errors, Augmented Mean Group (AMG), Common Correlated Effects (CCEMG) estimations. Additionally, Dumitrescu-Hurlin causality test revealed a unidirectional causal relationship between GDP innovation. Furthermore, bidirectional found accessibility as well emissions. These provide comprehensive insights into dynamic interactions economic, technological, environmental region, highlighting complexity achieving sustainable development.

Wind energy represents a solution for reducing environmental impact. For this reason, research studies the elements that propose optimizing wind production through intelligent solutions. Although there are address optimization of turbine performance or other indirectly related factors in production, remains topic insufficiently explored and synthesized literature. This how machine learning (ML) techniques can be applied to optimize production. aims study systematic applications ML identify analyze key stages optimized Through research, case highlighted by which methods proposed directly target issue power process turbines. From total 1049 articles obtained from Web Science database, most studied models context artificial neural networks, with 478 papers identified. Additionally, literature identifies 224 have random forest 114 incorporated gradient boosting about power. Among these, 60 specifically addressed aspect allows identification gaps The notes previous focused on forecasting, fault detection, efficiency. existing addresses indirect component performance. Environmental innovations, investments, and expenses have been identified as an efficient reliable way of addressing ecological issues. Nevertheless, how environmental may influence the level pollution in European nations whether outcome fluctuate among various innovation indicators remain to be inspected. Therefore, this research is designed empirically scrutinize investment, expenditure, development (R&D) expenses, foreign direct investment (FDI) on renewable non-renewable energy a sample 15 countries during period from 2005 2018. To achieve this, we apply robust panel econometric estimation techniques. After testing stationary property series, findings Pedroni cointegration test disclose presence long-run stable connection series. The empirical results ARDL, FMOLS DOLS regression show that impact R&D FDI help reduce overall promote energy. In contrast, significantly increases diminishes usage. Moreover, Dumitrescu Hurlin's tests discover unidirectional causality running non-renewables renewables towards FDI. Additionally, bi-directional found between innovations R&D, with both utilization. Furthermore, summarize by arguing efforts toward sustainable use reducing combustion sources should support modern innovative strategies ensuring transformation sources.

In recent years, organizations have increasingly turned to digital transformation (D) drive innovation (I) and sustainability (S). However, the rapid growth of studies on this topic, particularly since 2019, has made it challenging clearly define these concepts, operationalize their constructs, understand positive organizational impacts. This article addresses gaps through a systematic literature review (SLR) that combines quantitative qualitative analysis. study begins with comprehensive bibliometric analysis 3099 articles published between 2010 2023 in Scopus database containing terms “digital,” “innovation,” “sustainability” (or “sustainable”). It then covers detailed 20 high-quality from VHB-JOURQUAL-C-ranked journals or higher. By employing an inductive–deductive approach, authors identify consistent conflicting definitions, diverse constructs for each D-I-S concept, numerous effects. provides structured overview existing definitions introduces model distinguish environmental, organizational, solution levels. Additionally, presents visual framework direct mediated effects organizations. Overall, insights underscore critical role advancing sustainability, offering valuable guidance researchers practitioners alike.
