Abstract Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) generally signifies a transitional clinical stage prior to dementia. Cognitive working is dynamic process where both functional decline and improvement are mutual. Patients with amnestic MCI have high risk progress toward Alzheimer’s disease. Both mild sporadic disease multifactorial disorders consequential from multifaceted cross-talk among molecular biological processes. Non-coding RNAs play an important role in the regulation of gene expression, mainly long non-coding (lncRNAs), that regulate other RNA transcripts through binding microRNAs. Cross-talk between RNAs, including coding produces significant regulatory network all transcriptome. The relationship genes non-codingRNAscould improve knowledge genetic factors contributing predisposition pathophysiology MCI. objective this study was identify expression patterns relevant lncRNA-associated miRNA axes blood patients, which includes lncRNA- HAR1A, HAR1B, lncRNA-MEG9, lncRNA-ST7-AS1, lncRNA-TUNAR. Microarray investigations demonstrated modifications (lncRNA) patients compared control samples. This first explore lncRNA profiles Impairment blood. Abstract Zinc finger E-box binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) is a master modulator of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), process whereby epithelial cells undergo series molecular changes and express certain characteristics mesenchymal cells. ZEB1, in association with other EMT transcription factors, promotes neuroinflammation through production inflammatory mediators, morphology function immune cells, multiple signaling pathways that mediate response. The ZEB1–neuroinflammation axis plays pivotal role pathogenesis different CNS disorders, such as brain tumors, sclerosis, cerebrovascular diseases, neuropathic pain, by promoting tumor cell proliferation invasiveness, formation hostile micromilieu surrounding neuronal tissues, dysfunction microglia astrocytes, impairment angiogenesis, blood–brain barrier. Future studies are needed to elucidate whether could serve diagnostic, prognostic, and/or therapeutic target for disorders.

Energy metabolism reprogramming is the characteristic feature of tumors. The tumorigenesis, metastasis, and drug resistance ovarian cancer (OC) dependent on energy metabolism. Even under adequate oxygen conditions, OC cells tend to convert glucose lactate, glycolysis can rapidly produce ATP meet their metabolic needs. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) interact directly with DNA, RNA, proteins function as an essential regulatory in gene expression tumor pathology. Studies have shown that ncRNAs regulate process by interacting predominant enzyme cellular signaling pathway, participating tumorigenesis progression. This review summarizes mechanism regulation investigates potential therapeutic targets.

The runt-related transcription factor-1 (RUNX1) gene with its lncRNA RUNXOR are recently becoming a research focus in various diseases, specifically immune-related diseases as they implicated multiple pathways. Interestingly, their role sclerosis (MS) remains unstudied. present study explored the of RUNXOR/RUNX1 development and progression MS investigated possible mechanism action. We measured serum expression levels RUNXOR, well RUNX1, microtubule associated protein 2 (MAP2), nerve growth factor (NGF) brain-derived neurotrophic (BDNF) mRNAs 30 healthy controls 120 patients subdivided into 4 groups: clinically isolated syndrome patients, relapsing-remitting (RRMS) relapse, RRMS remission secondary progressive patients. Additionally, we MAP2, NGF, BDNF interleukin-10 (IL-10). All RNA were markedly downregulated and, consequently, IL-10 significantly decreased compared to controls. Moreover, parameters varied within groups. According receiver-operating-characteristic (ROC) curve logistic regression analyses, RUNX1 mRNA predictors disease progression, addition exhibiting diagnostic potential. Altogether, this suggests implication RUNXOR-RUNX1 axis development, increased MS-related disability, highlights potential utility studied promising diagnostic/prognostic biomarkers for MS.

Primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS), the least frequent type of (MS), is characterized by a specific course and clinical symptoms, it associated with poor prognosis. It requires extensive differential diagnosis often long-term follow-up before its correct recognition. Despite recent progress in research into treatment for MS, management this disease still poses challenge. Considering modern concept progression “smoldering” throughout all stages disease, thorough exploration PPMS may provide better insight mechanisms potential implications. The goal study was to review current evidence from investigations PPMS, including background, characteristics, biomarkers therapeutic opportunities. Processes underlying CNS damage are discussed, chronic immune-mediated inflammation, neurodegeneration, remyelination failure. A clinical, biochemical radiological presented, which useful monitoring predicting PPMS. Therapeutic options summarized, approved therapies, ongoing trials future directions investigations. implications findings would be reliable assessments outcomes, improvements individualized approaches and, hopefully, novel targets, relevant progression.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been demonstrated to in the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis (MS). In order appraise role T cell-related lncRNAs this disorder, we assessed expressions NEST, RMRP, TH2-LCR, MAFTRR and FLICR MS patients healthy individuals. We detected significant difference expression RMRP between cases controls. There were substantial correlations among patients, but not The strongest found with correlation coefficients 0.69 0.59, respectively. ROC curve analysis revealed appropriate power differentiating controls (AUC value = 0.84). Expression NEST lncRNA was positively correlated disease duration negatively age at onset. brief, reported dysregulation two proposed as a putative marker for disorder.

Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) are common autoimmune diseases that affect skeletal muscle quality and function. The lack of an early diagnosis treatment can lead to irreversible damage. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) play important role in transfer, regeneration, differentiation, regulation specific antibody levels pain IIMs. ncRNAs be detected blood hair; therefore, detection has great potential for diagnosing, preventing, treating IIMs conjunction with other methods. However, the roles mechanisms underlying their subtypes remain unclear. Here, we review by which micro long non-coding RNA-messenger RNA networks regulate provide a basis use as diagnostic tools therapeutic targets

Abstract The α4β2 nAChRs are crucial ion channels that control neurotransmitter release and play a role in various physiologic pathologic processes. CHRNA4 encodes the α4‐nAChRs, while CHRNB2 β2‐nAChRs. Recent studies have found different variants of α4β2‐nAChRs individuals with conditions such as AD, ADHD, ALS, PD, brain abnormalities. We conducted scoping review following six‐stage methodology structure adhering to PRISMA guidelines. systematically reviewed articles using relevant keywords up October 2, 2023. In this summary, we cover clinical symptoms reported, genes protein CHRNB2, mutations these genes, inheritance patterns, functional impact polymorphisms epidemiology diseases. research indicates may significant neurodegenerative disorders, possibly impacting neuronal function through yet undiscovered regulatory pathways.
