Several
fungal
species,
including
mushrooms,
produce
bioactive
and
toxic
compounds
that
exert
many
activities,
such
as
direct
action
on
DNA,
inhibition
of
protein
synthesis,
damage
to
cell
membranes,
or
suppression
certain
enzymatic
activities.
This
is
particularly
important
mushrooms
can
play
an
role
in
human
nutrition
and/or
are
used
dietary
supplements.
In
this
context,
we
screened
ethanolic
extracts

wild
for
their
potential
inhibit
cholinesterases

Abstract
Reactive
oxygen
species
reacts
with
numerous
molecules
in
the
body
system
causing
oxidative
damage,
which
requires
antioxidants
to
ameliorate.
Pleurotus
ostreatus
,
a
highly
nutritious
edible
mushroom,
has
been
reported
be
rich
bioactive
compounds.
This
study
evaluated
comparative
antioxidant
activity
and
phytochemical
contents
of
five
extracts
P.
:
aqueous
(AE),
chloroform
(CE),
ethanol
(EE),
methanol
(ME)
n-hexane
(HE).
The
composition
were
determined
using
standard
in-vitro
assay
methods.
