Recent studies have proposed three lymphatic drainage systems in the brain, that is, glymphatic system, intramural periarterial pathway, and meningeal vessels, whose roles various neurological diseases been widely explored. The system is a fluid waste clearance pathway utilizes perivascular space aquaporin-4 protein located astrocyte endfeet to provide for exchange of cerebrospinal interstitial fluid. drives flow through capillary basement membrane arterial tunica media. Meningeal vessels within dura mater are involved removal cerebral macromolecules immune responses.
