Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a brain disorder that progressively undermines memory and thinking skills by affecting the hippocampus entorhinal cortex. The main histopathological hallmarks of AD are presence abnormal protein aggregates (Aβ tau), synaptic dysfunction, aberrant proteostasis, cytoskeletal abnormalities, altered energy homeostasis, DNA RNA defects, inflammation, neuronal cell death. However, oxidative stress or damage also evident commonly overlooked considered consequence advancement dementia symptoms. control onset linked to activity amyloid-β peptide, which may serve as both antioxidant pro-oxidant molecules. Furthermore, correlated with proteins, nucleic acids, lipids in vulnerable populations, ultimately lead death through different molecular mechanisms. By recognizing an integral feature AD, alternative therapeutic preventive interventions developed tested potential complementary therapies for this devastating neurodegenerative disease.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive memory loss and cognitive decline. Although substantial research has been conducted to elucidate the complex pathophysiology of AD, therapeutic approach still limited efficacy in clinical practice. Oxidative stress (OS) established as an early driver several age-related diseases, including neurodegeneration. In increased levels reactive oxygen species mediate neuronal lipid, protein, nucleic acid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, synaptic damage, inflammation. Thus, identification novel antioxidant molecules capable detecting, preventing, counteracting AD onset progression utmost importance. However, although studies have published, comprehensive up-to-date overviews principal anti-AD agents harboring properties remain scarce. this narrative review, we summarize role vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, non-flavonoids, mitochondria-targeting molecules, organosulfur compounds, carotenoids non-enzymatic antioxidants with diagnostic, preventative, potential, thereby offering insights into relationship between OS

Background: Bisphenol A (BPA) is a known neurotoxic compound with potentially harmful effects on the nervous system. Cyanidin (CYN) has shown promise as neuroprotective agent. Objective: The current study aims to determine efficacy of CYN against BPA-induced neuropathology. Methods: In vitro experiments utilized PC12 cells were pre-treated gradient doses and further stimulated 10ng/ml BPA. DPPH radical scavenging activity, catalase total ROS nitric oxide activity done. vivo assessments employed doublecortin immunohistochemistry brain in BPA-exposed Sprague-Dawley rats. Further, silico molecular docking all proteins involved canonical Wnt signaling was performed using Autodock v4.2 tool BIOVIA Discovery Studio Visualizer. Results: IC50 values ascorbic acid determined dose-response curves, it found be 24.68 ± 0.563µg/ml 20.69 1.591µg/ml, respectively. BPA-stimulated pretreated showed comparable (p=0.0287). reactive species production by CYN-treated significantly decreased compared (p<0.0001). Moreover, inhibited BPA control vivo, positively affected immature neuron quantity, correlating dosage. During analysis, exhibited binding affinity > -7Kcal/mol key associated Wnt/β-catenin cascade. Conclusion: Conclusively, our finding suggests that counteracting BPAinduced oxidative stress, improving compromised neurogenesis hippocampal cortical regions, displaying notable interactions proteins. Thereby, could render its potential neuropathology

ABSTRACT The progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is intricately tied to the impairment neurons, crucial for neurological functions. Despite extensive research, precise mechanism underlying AD development remains elusive due its multifaceted aetiology. Vitamin deficiency has emerged as a notable contributor onset and progression, exerting significant influence on brain function. To explore this link, we conducted thorough review using PubMed, Web Science MEDLINE databases gather literature average vitamin concentrations in people with healthy controls. Applying frequentist network meta‐analysis techniques, calculated standardised mean differences (SMDs) between control groups, both directly indirectly. Our analysis, based 67 articles, revealed statistically findings various vitamins. Notably, C displayed most substantial difference concentration supported by high p ‐score 0.92. Other vitamins that showed included D, folate, E, A B12. Moreover, considering alternative reference groups vitamins, derived indirect estimates, which further emphasised role pathology. ranking their discrepancy underscored importance C, followed In conclusion, our comprehensive analysis highlights potential significance levels understanding This underscores avenues research therapeutic interventions targeting deficiencies AD, potentially offering new strategies managing disease.
