Background
Gut
microbiota
studies
in
the
field

endocrinology

To
comprehensively
assess
evolving
landscape
this
research
field,
we
conducted
a
thorough
bibliometric
analysis
gut
indexed
Web
Science
database.
Methods
We
collected
and
analyzed
3,339
original
articles
reviews
published
from
1972
to
2023.
Using
various
indicators,
investigated
publication
trends,
country
contributions,
international
collaborations,
prolific
authors,
top
journals,
influential
articles.
Results
Our
revealed
significant
upsurge
publications
after
2010,
indicating
growing
scientific
interest
metabolism.
Keyword
thematic
analyses
identified
microbiota,
obesity,
diabetes,
inflammation
as
core
themes.
Additionally,
roles
probiotics
prebiotics
are
increasingly
researched
for
their
therapeutic
effects
shaping
microbiota.

This
study
reveals
that
