Cannabidiol (CBD), the primary non-intoxicating compound in cannabis, is currently approved for treating rare, treatment-resistant seizures. Recent preclinical research suggests that CBD's multifaceted mechanisms of action brain, which involve multiple molecular targets, underlie its neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, and antipsychotic effects. Clinical trials are also exploring therapeutic potential beyond current uses. This review focuses on polypharmacological profile discusses latest clinical findings regarding efficacy neuropsychiatric disorders. Existing evidence ability to modulate signaling pathways may benefit disorders, we propose further areas clarify mechanisms, address data gaps, refine indications.

Abstract The highly lipophilic nature and low aqueous solubility of cannabidiol (CBD) limit its oral bioavailability, resulting in poor intestinal absorption. To overcome these limitations, we proposed the production a nanoemulsion with CBD to be included therapeutic treatment autism spectrum disorder. current study aimed evaluate effect CBD-rich corn oil male rats born females exposed valproic acid (VPA) during pregnancy on autistic-like behaviors hippocampal histology. Offspring were treated orally twice daily nanoemulsions at different doses (1 2 mg/animal). endpoints evaluated anxiety, grooming time, exploratory activity, sociability, social preference index, cerebral cortex All formulations characterized as showed reduced vesicle size (107.6 - 72.6 nm), PDI (0.290-0.432), negative zeta potential (-40.6 mv), good stability. Prenatal exposure VPA increased anxiety index animals. Furthermore, VPA-exposed animals exhibited elevated neuronal death reduction viable cells hippocampus. In conclusion, reversed behaviors, potentially by protecting against death.

Introduction Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental affecting approximately 3% of school-age children. The core symptoms are deficits in social communication and restricted repetitive patterns behavior. Associated problems cognition, language, behavior, sleep mood prevalent. Currently, no established pharmacological treatment exists for ASD symptoms. Risperidone aripiprazole used to manage associated irritability, but their effectiveness limited adverse events common.

The endocannabinoid system has been linked to various physiological and pathological processes, because it plays a neuromodulator role in the central nervous system. In this sense, cannabinoids have used off-label for neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) attention-deficit/hyperactivity (ADHA), well Alzheimer's disease (AD), more prevalent neurodegenerative disease. Thus, study aims, through comprehensive literature review, arrive at better understanding of impact therapeutic treatment patients with ASD, ADHD, (AD). Overall, cannabis products rich CBD displayed higher potential ASD children, while THC tested AD therapy. For clinical studies are incipient inconclusive, but promising. general, main limitations lack standardization cannabis-based consumed by participants, scientific rigor, small number participants.

Cannabis sativa L. has been the most discussed medicinal plant in recent years. In particular, dynamic shift from a formerly illicit and tightly controlled substance to recognized for both recreational purposes brought C. into global spotlight. Due ongoing international legalization processes, fast convenient analytical methods quality control of flowers are tremendous interest. this study, we report development validation liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-based method applying atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) fully quantify 16 terpenes 7 cannabinoids including their acidic forms by single chromatographic method. The presented here is unique simple, as it eliminates need derivatization reactions includes unconventional analysis volatile compounds chromatography. Samples were prepared simple ethanolic extraction. Separation was accomplished within 25 min on reversed-phase C18 column. Method conducted according guidelines regarding selectivity, accuracy, precision, robustness, linearity. Detection done multiple reaction monitoring, which allowed simultaneous quantification co-eluting analytes two selective transitions. addition, due reproducible in-source decarboxylation, reliably quantified using transitions neutral forms. accuracy given bias below 15% all analytes. Matrix effects studied spiking Humulus lupulus extracts with at varying concentrations. APCI did not show susceptibility toward ion suppression or enhancement. recovery effect after between 80 120% terpenes. Further, 55 authentic quantified, obtained results terpene profiles compared state-of-the-art gas chromatography coupled flame detection.
