The study explored the potential of eight new pitaya cultivars for protected cultivation in subtropical climate conditions, comparing yield and fruit characteristics. The quality of dragon fruit juice is based on brix and acidity, which determine flavour. Brix acidity are usually tested using sensory titration methods, have several limitations, such as being subjective time-consuming. Visible-Near Infrared (Vis-NIR) spectroscopy method at a wavelength 350-1000 nm in transmittance mode suitable for detecting the juice. non-destructive, fast, produces no waste. In this research, pure samples were mixed water liquid sugar concentrations, i.e., 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% w/w. Spectra was obtained from portable Vis-NIR spectrometer juice, converted into absorbance. Actual an acid refractometer. Dragon fruit or pitaya is an incredible functional food that provides nutraceutical benefits owing to its prebiotic activity and has gained attention in recent years multiple therapeutic values such as anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-microbial, hepatoprotective anti-hyperlipidemic activities. It also exhibits wound healing, anti-anemic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory microvascular protective properties. Abstract This study examines the use of dragon fruit peel (DFP) powder as a dietary supplement on growth performance, immune responses, and gene expression Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus , cultured within biofloc systems. A total 300 tilapia fingerlings (14.64 ± 0.09 g) were subjected to five treatments, with DFP added basal diet at doses 0, 20, 40, 80, 160 g kg −1 DFP.
