This study reports on the physicochemical and antioxidant properties of propolis samples from various regions across Western Australia identifies some phenolic constituents using high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC). Mitochondrial damage and associated oxidative stress are considered to be major contributory factors in cardiac pathology. One of the most potent naturally occurring antioxidants is taxifolin, especially its water-soluble form. Herein, effect a 14-day course peroral application taxifolin (aqTAX, 15 mg/kg body weight) on progression ultrastructural functional disorders mitochondria heart’s electrical activity rat model myocardial injury induced with isoprenaline (ISO, 150 mg/kg/day for two consecutive days, subcut) was studied.
