ABSTRACT This study aimed to explore the developmental journey of an emergent language teacher educator (LTE) as she navigated construction her identity and enactment agency in context virtual training sessions. Through personal reflections across a 3‐year period, author unpacks transition from dependent LTE, who was reliant on relational agency, independent now exercises professional individual agency. Furthermore, this development has evolved uncritical critical LTE which emphasize roles adaptability sensitivity LTEs' educational practice. Moreover, findings highlight dynamic interplay among experiences, contexts, collaboration with colleagues shaping research contributes valuable insights for preparing supporting LTEs. It emphasizes importance reflection promoting effective education practices.

Abstract While English for Academic Purposes (EAP) has developed theoretically and empirically over the past decades, there are few documented studies on EAP practitioners’ identities. Our study examined 12 Iranian role identities (as one type of identity) in light conceptualization specific purposes (ESP) practitioner roles. Adopting a qualitative approach, revealed various contextual factors shaping as being agents transformative education, course designer quest needs analysis, materials provider managing oscillations, collaborator lack collegiate connection, researcher dispositional variations, finally an evaluator dynamic assessors. This paper reports on a study that examined the process of two international doctoral students' academic socialisation in Chinese universities. Drawing concept and social network analysis, we analysed multiple types data, including study-abroad questionnaires, concentric circles interviews, reflective journals, observational field notes over six months. The analysis findings revealed supervisors acted as most influential agents guiding participants' socialisation. participants also enacted agency to engage self-directed during which they strategically appropriated resources cope with various challenges. Students’ conceptions and experiences of institutionalised curriculum for multilingual learning: the case of a dual-foreign-languages programme DOI

Whilst the existing literature on multilingual learning in curriculum has properly addressed a variety of instructional factors, few studies have been dedicated to investigating influence institutionalisation as contextual, power-laden factor which turn influences learning. To fill this gap, qualitative study examines undergraduate students' conceptions and experiences institutionalised dual-foreign-languages programme English French Chinese university. The findings unveil how learning, mediated by specific curricular arrangements, imposed predetermined pathway towards achieving goals. Abstract Social network analysis (SNA) has recently drawn increasing scholarly attention in applied linguistics research response to the social turn field. In this review, we analyze and identify methodological characteristics topical concerns of articles addressing SNA Science Citation Index (SSCI) journals. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, a total 60 published between 1980 2023. Our reveals that growing body is adopting qualitative mixed methods examine relationships networks language learning, teaching use. These findings confirm context constitutes an essential part ecosystem intertwined with various cognitive, social, psychological factors, which have synergistic impact on learning teaching. As a sub-realm of Language Teacher Psychology (LTP), teachers' professional agency has gained significant attention from educational practitioners and teachers.
